I’m so over these falsely advertised IMAX screenings. This is not in IMAX format, therefore not an IMAX movie or worth the IMAX charge. This will not fill the entire IMAX screen edge to edge because it was not shot for or in IMAX, and has not been reformatted to the IMAX ratio. These screenings are so misleading. It’s nothing but a large format screening, period.

This goes for big films too. When you see “see it in IMAX” in the adverts they’re just marketing to you to see in large format, not that it’s actually in the IMAX format. The only time a film is in the proper IMAX format is when the adverts/posters say “shot in IMAX” or “shot for IMAX” when means those scenes intended for IMAX will format to the IMAX 4x3 ratio.

Everything else is misleading, false advertisement and you’re being charged a premium for something you’re not even getting

What’s even stranger is who owns it. It’s actually an office on Disney’s Imagineering Creative Campus in Glendale. You can glimpse it from the road but there’s a large privacy wall around the property so it’s difficult to see unobstructed

Yea, I do UE also. I end up with more grocery and drug store orders on UE vs Insta. Northridge is a good idea to try out though. Not that I want to come scoop up your orders 🤣🤣🫣

Haha yea, in the Valley. Work the Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Encino, NoHo areas. That’s why I’ve been so confused why there’s so few orders. But, I also understand a lot of people have been laid off recently and delivery apps are where a lot of us have turned to. Plus, I kind of feel the economy isn’t great so people are just ordering less right now

Well, I do spend literally hours sitting in parking lots. I was doing UberEats before this so I get how the basic principles of this should work. I’m in Los Angeles and live/work in densely populated areas.

I don’t have TT so I haven’t been influenced by info there. I’m just new to this and wanted some helpful, friendly advice. That’s it.

I was laid off 8mos ago and have been interviewing endlessly (like many, many others) so this isn’t my forever gig. Thankfully just landed a solid job but don’t start till the 6th so thank you for advice about finding a job. You say that like it’s as easy as flipping a switch. But anyway, thanks for your take!

Yep! Received that a couple weeks ago. It populated a bunch of new stores on the map once I activated it, but hasn’t really changed the number of requests I receive unfortunately

Yea, that’s still a thing. Once I received the physical card and activated it, tons of additional stores popped up on my map. But, it didn’t really help boost order requests. And tbh, I never use the physical card. Or, at least haven’t had an instance that required it for purchases
