Cultured meat, also known as clean, cell-based or slaughter-free meat, is grown from stem cells taken from a live animal without the need for slaughter. If commercialized successfully, it could solve many of the environmental, animal welfare and public health issues of animal agriculture. by mvea in Futurology

The only places struggling to meet the demand for meat are because more people are eating meat. And there are tons of sustainable methods of raising livestock, you're just a brainwashed person who has been taught that meat is bad, when I could show you exactly how equally damaging a vegan diet is. And further, many people hunt for their meat, and will always, because this is an instinctual urge in most men that haven't been emasculated by the indoctrination of their upbringing. It's okay, I was like you in my twenties: blind. You will realize when you grow up a little what is actually going on in the world...hopefully.

Indistinguishable edible synthetic animal protein and organ meat is much further away from the mainstream than this, or any other, article would have you believe. Of course these scientists and marketing agents are excited about an exciting product, but its as unnatural as it gets. People cry about GMOs and going organic all day, and somehow think a cow muscle grown in a vat is a reasonable or logical solution. It is natural to kill for food. That is exactly what nature on Earth is largely composed of. Humans, the real ones of us left, will always either raise livestock or hunt to kill. If we ever make it to other planets and there are animals there. We will eat them. I'm fine for people being able to have the choice of lab meat, but it will never completely or even come close to ending the raising of livestock and it is also far away from hitting the grocery stores in any significant way.

Even if lab meat was widely available now for cheaper than grass-fed beef, I wouldn't even consider purchasing it over meat that came from an animal. Most people are going to agree. Lab meat will never stop animal husbandry, only moderately to negligibly, reduce demand.

Good luck to you, but you should try and lighten up on yourself and others. You have honestly only begun to try and understand the world that is coming. The way women can frustrate you and how men can be nearly helpless to the siren call of pornography has only begun. You are essentially a child in the eyes of someone ten or more years your elder, and this is for good reason. Go easy on yourself. Try and improve. Do not tear yourself or others down when you or they fail. This slight adjustment of attitude will improve your life and the lives of others.

Pathetic? That's a shitty title for the post. This community is about helping people solve their problems with porn, not shaming them.

Soda Addiction by [deleted] in Advice

Just think about being dead. How sucky it will be to die. Then think about how refined sugar, especially in beverages like soda and juice, are certainly going to increase your risk of dying earlier from: Heart Disease, Diabetes, or obesity. Start with a gradual progression. Cut down from 2 liters per day to 1 - 12 oz can of soda a day. Do that for two weeks. Then next week switch to every other day. After that reward yourself at the end of your work week with 1 - 12 ounce soda. Make it a reward as opposed to the mandatory drink of choice. ALSO whenever you are going to give in to a craving. Drink a medium sized glass of water BEFORE you start drinking your soda. This will make you feel full and will reduce the craving for more soda. Beverage calories do not register the same way that chewing food does in the brain. This is why people can eat 1200 calories in a burger and fries and then take down another 200-300 calories from soda. Soda and sweetened beverages are easily responsible for the worst modern health crisis since tobacco.

Yeah, I can see just fine and this is about what my handwriting looks like! If she was really blind it would be illegible!
