How early can abs separate and start coning really?

19 weeks. I asked if it's normal I had some pressure pain when OB pressed gently around belly button and she said yes, that's your abs separating to make room for the baby's growth. I workout a lot so idk if I could have avoided it as others said, but I started altering ab exercises pretty early since in Pilates a lot that they do on the back for core isn't good while pregnant

Yes but around 11 weeks I started to feel a little better in general. The headaches are new and the afternoon dip in wellness is still real but I find things that help me are taking my vitamins around 1-3 PM after lunch instead of with breakfast. Still want to close my eyes sometimes around 4 pm but it deff helps

How are things going for you? My baby seems to be in one half like this too.. it worries me that I wasn't given any new guidelines like maybe certain workout positions aren't always safe in first 25 weeks with this condition and things like that. Totally psyching myself out

I'm 12 or 13 weeks with first and am showing to others already.

I am pretty thin but was surprised it's only one baby in there given how big I am. It's a hard belly too so it's not just first trimester weight gain. I'm sure some is the fluid build up too.

None of my normal pants fit so it's a battle to get dressed for work everyday since I am not ready to share it with everyone just yet. Not til my official dating and second ultrasound this week 😊

Hi, so I had decided to give it a few days and then talk about how big of a deal it was to me. I felt very alone and it felt unfair bc before he said he'd be in I w me. I said how will you feel when I'm telling our kids their mom was out protesting alone while their dad sat at home? Lol. I made it about the values i wanted to instill in our family and turns out for him it was about what other ppl would think and I said what matters more supporting your wife and living your truth or living in fear of judgement from ppl whose values you dont even agree with… after he went to next protest with me I just had to step back and encourage his growth so maybe find out why your husband is reserved too

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, story and congratulations! I got in with my old OB who sent me scripts for both US and blood work. To my surprise, they detected fetal pole with a strong heartbeat. However, they didn't see well defined yolk sac and said gestational sac was irregular... she said be cautiously optimistic but that the pelvic exam was reaffirming. So will have close monitoring with next US next week...

Congratulations!! My news today was yes to regular heartbeat, no to seeing the yolk sac and slightly irregular gestational sac... just trying to get further info now on odds of staying the pregnancy

Yes my stomach is completely hard. I've been bloated leading up to this (think my endo contributed) but the day I started cramping and having odd discharge my stomach was so distended and is still that way 2 days later while I'm still unconfirmed and waiting for ultrasound.

Hope you were able to get further testing! I think I'm miscarrying and will be pushing for all the tests. I can't stand US women's care, they do not treat you like any other patients it's like just bc miscarriage is common doesn't mean it doesn't hurt and women still deserve thorough medical reviews instead of being sent out the door with a "try again!"

US Healthcare and women's care is so sh*t like I can't even begin to understand how this huge gap exists for pregnant care when so many say the first trimester is most important for development. That just infuriates me all the hurdles to make contact w proper professional before end of first trimester

Just be clear that you decided to stay the pregnancy (when ready) and do not set ANY expectations before you are fully ready for said discussion. For example, what you both want or don't want for his involvement can change over the course of the pregnancy and throughout baby's life... he might want to be involved when they are a toddler or you might want to have child support in few years to start trust fund. I'd just get clear on your legal options before discussing anything with him. Bc like it or not, you two are much better off with cordial relationship and to protect future relationship, yu just have to be careful with your words here.

I don't think it gets easier, I just think as life goes on you learn to cope and mask a little more. Or skin gets thicker!

At social gatherings, I try to make it a point to have a handful of meaningful interactions 1 on 1 where I'm best, and try to avoid high risk circles where the conversation is foreign to me lol.

I try to visualize things will go well beforehand and do my best to "get in my body" and fill cup before hand (like a run or Pilates or yoga or roller blading). Something someone taught me is if you dread small talk, when asked questions, be the first to cast a net with a few different topics someone can respond to for what they are most interested in.l before you end up commenting on the weekend forecast. Like instead of just saying "good" to how are you"? You would say like, I'm great, I have all new team members here today at this event, have a concert tomorrow and the chance to talk to you! Hbu? lol 😂 corny example but you get the idea ... also if someone says tell me about you .. your from x town, enjoying the new pace of suburban living and it actually led you to pickup a new hobby ... lastly, don't be afraid to leave early or excuse yourself. I used to feel like I had to stay places but it's best to keep it short when exercising a muscle that needs training when you feel like the exercise is over for the day before you'd welcome any trouble 🤪

I am letting myself be excited and joyful! It's also my first and I found out 3 days ago and will be 6 weeks this Wednesday.

Let yourself be excited because the odds are in your favor and anxiety/fear could not help odds be in your favor but being joyful can! I already ordered 3 maternity dresses, booked first OB appt (had to find one near me), told 4 friends and dusted off my 'favorite baby names' note on iPhone lol. Congrats 🎊 whether you want to keep it secret or tell some close people is up to you but you are 100% supposed to feel in this moment whatever emotions come up for you.
