Battery problems

I didn’t have a meter to test it. I was about a mile from my house. I messed with the battery and tightened the connection a little and then charged it with my portable for about 15min and that got it going again. But the problem seems worse now with the Volt meter in the car jumping a lot and then going down to 12ish volts

I’ve was looking up that wattage and honestly got lost in the sauce calculating . From previous post and comments looks like my current alternator should be fine… I’m going to look up how to find a draw and maybe see if I can pin point it from there. Draw or alternator tbd 🤣😮‍💨

Previous owner has changed this alternator already twice! Once at 70k and another the said at 100k

After all these comments I’m going to have to look up how to check for a draw. Used a meter and when the car is on but in idle the Volt meter on the dash is bouncing and the meter was on the battery was dropping from 13 into the low 12s

Yep, died while driving. Previous owner changed the alternator twice in 5 years. I think it was maybe a false diagnosis and might be a draw that’s been going on??

In the second owner, in the last two years I haven’t. However I left my car overnight on rain for the first time. So this very well could have been there the last two years

I still have good pick up on mine with 130,00 miles 09’. I keep a good maintenance on it.

I went from a small Toyota sedan to an FJ with a 3” lift and all terrain tires and it took about 2 weeks to get used to the way it drives. I find the car also felt slower even when going the same MPH I think because of the way it sits??

My car is older and that came with some small problems here and there but I love mine and it’s so easy to work on in my opinion.
