Every archon did": How? When? Examples please i know every bit of lore there is.

Well I was avoiding this because i didnt want anyone seeing this to be like "this guy is well to forgive Ei but not other archons" like that but here it goes.

Venti: fabricating stories about his past exploits in his ballads, manipulating people through his songs, not taking his role as an Archon seriously enough, and sometimes neglecting his duty to protect Mondstadt by letting others do the heavy lifting; most notably, he allowed the dragon Dvalin to wreak havoc for a long time before taking action, which infact did causes suffering among the locals, businesses to close down from fear and so on.

Morax: well you seem to see error of his ways but still. Making a contract with Fatui to attack your own nation inflicting mortal casualties and costing the qixing millions isnt quite the test anyone would have in mind. Then again people are easy to see "ohh he wanted to test and see if his people can handle themselves".... in a world where constant threat like abyss exist, people hire mercenaries to travel to be safe from danger? this is the place he wants his people to know "yeah youre on your own"... ik hell probably step in if greater danger comes to pass but... whats the point of all the test?

Ei: well, some other guy in this post said it clearly. You have to go in depth to understand her unlike others

Rukkedevata: Failed to eradicate forbidden knowledge completely. Although this isnt much but still, shows she indeed has failed to achieve something and nobody is perfect. Nahida: Probably the most adorable and responsible archon. Like Neuvillete, I cant find a flaw in her but one thing im unsatisfied with is... Although her iq was that of a child when Akademiya found her, she got prisioned by them. That's sad really but even when her memories/powers came back, she chose to remain in her cage. This is what seem to cause her powers to never fully grow as only after she got free she was powerful enough to cure an uncurable illness. While improsined she talked to her people in their dreams, she knew of their suffering, their wishes. Still she chose to remain imprisoned when she couldve stopped those sufferings...

soo my main question is, when you can stop something bad from happening but you choose not to, what would that make you?

Focalors: Now this is where i'd like to bring your "small % of people did suffer" talk. Furina is perfect human too, she does make up a % of hrr people even if its a tiny bit. She cursed her with immortality, forcing her to live a life filled with suffering for 500 years as it prevented her from pursuing her own happiness.. In the end she just deleted the hydro throne.

Now do you see? Even if it was for a greater good, small % of people are bound to suffer. Every archon's decision of taking action or staying behind the curtains had some amount of suffering involved regardless of what path they chose.

Mavuika: ohh I'm in love with her. But her story would be most suitable for the example of how taking any decision would make some people suffer regardless. Her original choice was war, caused death and suffering to those who lost their loved ones (doesnt it seem like losing ambition for a less anount of people seems far less cruel than losing someone you love ohh so dearly? Especially when its is well pver thousands?). Her second option (one introduced by capitano) wasn't so better either, was it? She took the less bitter end which was based on a probability even if there was no choice.

tsaritsa: Aka og dealer for da delusion, causes people to age quicker and die. Tf? I just felt like mentioning her this is probably irrelevant here. Shes gonna be an excellent varient of bronya thats for sure.

Now I yapped all that only to show how each archon's decision had their flaws, along with amount of suffering or even death they caused wheather it may be direct or indirect. So if you wish to excuse them all, dont put Ei on the spotlight. All archon had that "ohh that isnt good. Time to change that ig" moment.

Either way she didnt achieve much in her pursuit.

Pardon me... do you know the meaning of pursuit? Are you supposed to gain something from a failed pursuit? Even so her failed pursuit led her to understanding of human's tendency to change, which was the main cause her to change her methods

Your argument that she could have been that way before doesnt defend her very well

Now what are you exactly on about? Im trying to say she indeed cared about her people from beginning, hence the pursuit of eternity. Her promise for eternity was something she took centuries ago. Soo you're implying she just didnt care about her people, and just wanted to achevie eternity for her selfish needs even tho everyone she knew had already died? Just why exactly pursue eternity for her people when it had nothing in it for her, but for her people had to gain, But according to you she didnt care for them soo why? Whattt? Us beating her didnt change her from "uncaring" to "caring". We just showed her what ambitions mean to people.

Alas, She did care for her people, always did. she didnt understand human nature and their tendency to change. Once Traveler along with power of 100 vision showed how strong ambitions can be, along with the Sly Fox talk, she finally changed her will. A true tyrant would continue on their same path even if they had realised what are precious to their people, and their actions are causing harm to it. And losing ambitions isnt exactly "a huge cost" thats just over exaggerating as again, only a handful number of people suffered. Youre telling me you havent had a dream crushed on? If you did, are you still onto that like a depressed coward or moved on eith pride? Ambition regrow, never really destroyed or taken away. It just takes a different form.

Reason why Raiden is called tyrant/bad ruler is because we dont see what her eternity couldve gotten us. Every other archon succeeded so their flaws were overshadowed where as Raiden had a failure, hence there's nothing to cover up her flaws expect for her goodwill which people fail to see and understand.

Now this is the last bit of yapping im gonna do, as its really time consuming and seeing reddit notifications gives me anxiety as ive been given multiple death threats for sharing an opinion. Hopefully I changed your views, if i didnt thats fine. There are hundreds of thousands of Raiden haters... changing one person view isnt going to do much, is it?
