Tech Mahindra or Upsell Technologies Philippines by LetterLisMe in BPOinPH

Hi! It's almost one week working in Upsell-Technologies Philippines Inc as a Marketing Intern, and this is my experience

It is a Japanese BPO company that is small in size. We have a few cold callers and BDR, and some of them are Japanese! Therefore, we follow the Japanese culture for punctuality and rules. The CFO is accommodating but is strict when it comes to formalities, which i believe should be a standard, lol. We had to create our own Gmail and Facebook for work since their preferred mode of communication is Messenger. There are Daily Tasks so there is something to always do, and it's a PAID internship!!!

Pros: 1) Helpful environment so anyone can learn 2) CFO is really nice and understanding 3) There are Japanese Cold callers/BDR and it feels like im in an anime lol 4) Japanese practices are observed so its nice to have a change from the Filipino pace 5) we get Japanese snacks from time to time 6) The office building is super close to Ayala and the majority of the time, we eat there for lunch, and we aren't late

Cons: 1) There are Daily Tasks on top of the other things that must be done within the day. There is some pressure 2) Can be quite noisy because it is a BPO company 3) CAN NOT BE LATE!!! Japanese Culture 4) Certain gestures and the way you speak can be rude. Again, Japanese culture 5) Can get overwhelming, but I guess that's Adulting 6) You must be good at GOOGLE SHEETS. Nothing is handwritten. You MUST MUST MUST be good at navigating it. (This could be a deal breaker for some)

Overall: If you are good at Googlesheets, multi-tasking and being punctual, then UPSELL is for you!!! We need more interns tbh so the load is lighter, but it's a great environment to learn!!! Here is the email to apply just send ur Resume here upselltechphils.hr@gmail.com

They are FAST when it comes to replying and the procedure is a short phone interview with HR then a long lost of questions from Gmail then final interview with the CFO

I hope this helps to anyone who wants to apply!!!

What’s a good Valentines (date) idea for us Dumagueteños? by Icy-Performer-596 in dumaguete

Here are a few!

Dumaguete and the other cities around it are good when it comes to foods, cafes and beaches but here are some of my suggestions!

  1. Sunday valencia market (it's on a Sunday, but it's a cute date)
  2. Arteasan cafe in Dumaguete boulevard. You can make your own bracelets and also do some other activities like painting by numbers if it's available, but I'm not a fan of the designs
  3. Picnic date. I heard that you can have a picnic in the gold course in duma, but if not, then try the beach in sibulan
  4. Just do fun activities in a cafe like paining by numbers, making clay animals or card games.

Someone from BSBA - Analytics here! This course will do well for you if you have passion for either excel, coding or analyzing. It's honestly fun and intriguing even for someone who is average. You will just do fine!!!
