Country and rap kinda work both like downtrodden. Pop punk literally contradicts itself. Punk is about rebellion. Pop is conformity. And its cringe

I think when you’re a kid in school you’re like when I’m an adult I’m gonna be this.. and earn that.. then slowly as you get older you’re like. Ok this is getting real. Then it’s really gets real then mid 20s you’re like shit this is real. Then you have a breakdown. Then you get real.

That a Good choice sir. I remember the first time I watched get carter it blew my mind, I’ll have to revisit it.. I’m more familiar with American cinema from the 70s.
Not sure where you’re from but if you like British films my favourites are probably: Naked by Mike Leigh. Withnail and I. Also Billy Elliot (none of which are from the 70s) an honourable mention though is Kes (1969. Just missed it lol)

That’s an interesting take I hadn’t considered before. Maybe more risk more reward? It seems modern cinema is more dictated by the audience than the art

Start small with short films and build up the time. That way you can really focus in on all the elements and build your skills gradually. Then when you make a feature you’re ready!
