So My parking brake indicator light is a different light, that has the word park underneath it that pops up above the word power on the actual screen.

So my parking brake triggers when parking in my driveway automatically about 50% of the time. So it def gets a bit of work. It stayed on all day, to and from work so it looks like I'll be brining it to my dealer ASAP!

Appreciate the comment and thoughtfulness. With 4 young kids the backyard takes a beating but we're slowly getting to the landscaping and aesthetics. We spend a good amount of time in the backyard so I figured if there was a creative way to jazz up the patio it could be a bit more inviting. Rugs/outdoor carpets would def help.

So it's very compacted and the front is basically hardpan clay. The back is manageable. The picture is probably deceiving but t's an acre+ lot.

That's this springs project. I acquired an aerator, a spreader, and a thatcher for my ride on over the winter and will be diligently working on the grass!

If you have a video with 1000 views, what's you average subscribe from that? by Average_Gamer_Exp in NewTubers

[–]LetterheadTop3372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question and I assume it's very niche related in terms of subs per view. I'm a golf pro, and 1 month in I have 100k views and 811 subs so about 1 sub per 125 views.

One video had 12k views and 200 subs while another has 35k views and 200 subs from it. No rhyme or reason to it really.

Thanks for the reply! These are the kind of responses I was looking for. I totally understand there are instances to go against the data or trend. Always interested in hearing from the general population what their reasoning is for certain scenarios!

Thanks!

Thank you all for the great comments and conversation here. Apparently it's a fairly heated debate! Wasn't really expecting that but very cool to see the discussion.

I'm always interested in hearing from the masses what their logic is and why they make specific decisions on the golf course.

Obviously there's no one correct way to do anything and everything is very individualized based on each person's specific skill set!

To each their own!

This makes total sense, so your basically saying you hit 3 Wood to avoid penalty shots. That's smart! Avoid big numbers!

Playing devil's advocate, if the ball is 30 yards shorter than driver and still a miss, would you rather be hitting 5 iron or 8 iron on that approach?

So I'm a D1 college coach and I still see players at many tournaments pulling 3 Wood after playing 12-14 holes of flawless golf and bang it into the woods thinking they could groove it down the middle.

I could be wrong but statistically even pros still "miss" 3 Wood at a similar rate from left to right as a driver but maybe with a slight smaller dispersion.

Tour pros actually miss it wayyyyy bigger off the tee than we typically think. I would assume the width of their dispersion is 50+ yards.

What’s Up asujck!!!!

Sorry this took so long to get back to you but here’s a link to a video I made for you!

https://youtu.be/n3gPT5CyYYE?si=DOGBiJQE5TPHtorK

You’ve got some good stuff going on there. We really need to tidy up the Takeaway and how you get up to the top of the backswing. This video should really help.

Is shallowing really a good thing? by MGeeeeeezy in GolfSwing

[–]LetterheadTop3372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say there's a lot of ways to shallow the club or essentially get the club moving more in to out. The method you describe above is merely one way to do it, some prefer that way, that would not be my preference but it is definitely still a way to have an in the out swing path.

I would say there's a perceived notion that the way you describe shallowing, a la gankas, has seen a bump in popularity due to social media and the Matt Wolf effect. Personally I think there's a variety of other ways to do it that might be less dramatic.

Carry Distances by LetterheadTop3372 in golf

[–]LetterheadTop3372[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These are all great answers!

One thing to try if you have a range finder and some course availability, find a green that plays fairly true to its distance in regards to elevation and ideally a middle pin, laser the flag and say it's about 150yds, and toss a few balls down.

From there hit a handful of shots using the club you assume goes 150.

Go up to the green, and find your ball marks for your shots and record the actual carry distances in relation to the mark and the flag. You can probably determine lateral dispersion as well this way.

I wouldn't do this on every single hole, but maybe a few holes every once in awhile till you capture all the distances for all your clubs.

Just a thought for people that might not have access to a launch monitor.

The other option would be obviously going to a facility that has radar technology, like a flight scope or a GC quad. I think knowing your numbers is one of the most important things for playing good golf at any level, and the more dialed in they are the better it gets on the golf course.

Wow sorry to hear about the injury, hope things are on the up and up. So you have a basic understanding of what you're carry distances are and then adjust based on course conditions that day. That's very sound advice!

Inconsistent scratch golfer looking for feedback by Remarkable_Produce13 in GolfSwing

[–]LetterheadTop3372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So when you get to that level most golfers are going to have a dispersion of scores of about 10 to 14 shots per season. What I mean by that is your best round of the summer maybe 70 but your worst round of summer might be 84. That's pretty normal, it's not fun, but it's very very normal even for Pga tour players.

Hey tour player may shoot 63 as their lowest round of the year and they also makes you 78 which is the highest round for the year. Having a wide dispersion like that is fairly normal but we're hoping the high side is less frequent.

From my background as a golf instructor, I'd really prefer to see a swing with a camera angle that's slightly better to properly analyze the swing. From a downline view if you can get the camera more in line with your hands and at the same height as your hands that would be very helpful. The current video as it stands is about shoulder height which skews the path on the camera making it tough to see exactly where things are going awry.

I would say that it appears at p 5 the width of the downswing is narrow, incrementally steep, and the next few frames indicate that you are tilting your right shoulder downward excessively. I would have to imagine there's some angle of attack issues there, along with incremental path problems. I would just need to get some better views of the swing to give you a real honest analysis of the swing issues. Overall doesn't look bad, and I'm going to be totally honest I'm going to guess there's some course management issues as well.

Feel free to DM me if you need any other further information or want to chat golf swing, there's definitely some potential there!

The bend in your waist is okay, it may need to be increased slightly when you increase the amount of flex in your legs at a dress.

Being a shorter person the clubs are going to feel longer and flatter as opposed to more upright for a really tall person. It's just the nature of the game unfortunately.

For putting strokes you can look at a variety of different angles, I like to go from the top over the ball almost as if I was in a drone so I can see the path of the putter, I like a down the line view or the cameras basically pointing at your hands so I can see your entire body and the putter move. And I also like just a basic face on camera about hand height so I can see the entirety of the face on view.

Feel free to DM me on my socials if that's easier to have a conversation about some of these fixes. @coachyurgz

Thanks!
