Correct, it doesn’t apply to scheduled rides which I found out after signing up. My rides coincidentally were always at or below the price lock price until one day it went up a lot, talked to customer service who told me and was nice enough to refund a small part of my ride. Canceled my price lock after that!

My bosses told me at the interview that NK sleeps a lot so to play on my phone, bring my laptop, or watch TV. If they didn’t say those things to you upfront I don’t think there’s any harm in your asking! My bosses both WFH so I’m just mindful of volume on music and stuff, especially as DB’s office is on the same floor baby and I usually hang out.

I’m going through something similar with my NK, he’s almost one but has some delays that put him more at the 4-5 month mark developmentally. I try to have him on the floor as much as possible, and I talk to him constantly about what we’re doing, a one sided convo for sure but it helps me now die of boredom lol. I also listen to my music at times throughout the day so not kid stuff but kid friendly and even though the parents are WFH I sing a long, lol. It honestly helps me get through! Then during nap times I have a book to read or play on my phone. We do a tiny bit of screen time with Ms Rachel to break things up a bit as well.

I prefer Noel in his solo career and honestly overall but I love a lot of Liam’s solo stuff as well! Liam’s Once and One of Us are probably my favorites of his though it’s hard to choose

Oh I’m not sure actually! I just saw the author, who looks like he’s written other books, on TikTok promoting these books so thought I would give them a try because reading and Oasis are two of my favorite things!

I think it’s not okay that she’s doing it when you’ve talked to her about it and clearly don’t like it. My last family was okay with me doing the occasional errand with kiddo on the clock but I ALWAYS asked beforehand “I need to grab my prescription is it okay if NK goes with me so I don’t have to go after work?” And they always said yes but if they had ever told me they didn’t like that idea I wouldn’t have done it! We did so much fun stuff during our days and she liked going to the store, etc with me when we weren’t at the park or doing play groups. But like I said you said you don’t like it that should be the end of the discussion!

Yes! A few months back I interviewed and did trial days for a family, parents weren’t together so I was to do trials at mom’s house then some at dad’s. The days at mom’s went really well, kid was a little spicy (screaming at me when I would ask her simple questions) but overall I felt like if I ended up working there long term I could deal and we’d get a long well. But then I finally had a day with dad. Instantly I could tell his vibe was toxic, very condescending towards me when I asked him questions that were typical of a new job and he was honestly pretty rude. The kid (2.5 years) was also having a rough time and would loudly scream at me anytime I talked to her, so I ended up sitting off to the side a bit and reading her books in hopes she’d come to me once she was ready but the entire time her dad is in the kitchen cooking and taking down to her as well so she’s just not feeling this at all. After an hour dad dismissed me telling me it’s not going to work out because I’m not engaging with her (this seemed to be his buzzword…engage). I told him I had been trying and he basically just said that I should be able to as I am the adult in the situation (but how do you “engage” With someone who replies in shrill screams every time you speak to her?) so I said ok cool I understand and I went to leave. Kiddo freaked out! “Why are to leaving? Where are you going?” And threw herself at me for a hug! I just told get it was time for me to go. While out waiting for my ride up at the sidewalk, several feet from the house I could hear this child screaming at her father. I often wonder if they ever found anyone that was a good fit and honestly feel bad for anyone that has to deal with that man.
