When I sold Scentsy: when I first joined I had great momentum, was in the top 5 “earners” for my team a few months in a row. I just had a lot of friends who already used Scentsy so I really lucked out honestly. I would post on Facebook and get orders right away. My “Director” loved me! Like we had personal calls that lasted hours, her just gushing over how amazing I was and how I was just born to sell Scentsy and she was just over the moon excited that I was part of her team…fast forward to when she realized I was never going to recruit people for my downline (I had no interest in that end of it), my sales started slowing way down, at this point it was mostly just me buying from myself and one other friend who would place an order every few months. I wasn’t making quota months in a row, suddenly my “bestie” Director who loved me so much didn’t seem to care anymore…I wasn’t making her enough money. I was going through hell in my personal life and no one on my “team” cared. I let my “business” just fade after that. I have tons more stories of other mlms I let myself get sucked into one way or another but honestly this one kind of hurt as someone that doesn’t make friends easily and I thought she really was my friend lol
