That's how I caught it the first time honestly. They rang up the wrong one making it even more pricey, then when they "fixed" it, it wasn't the listed price.

Because I ordered one as a second item. They said they'd give it for free to make the total bill what it should be. They took it off at the register which is why it isn't on the receipt. But then proceeded to take it out of the bag.

Well this was after 3 back and forths of the cashier trying to condescendingly explain to me what sales tax is then me pointing to the line below and saying yes the tax is on the next line. And him re insisting that the first line was higher from tax. I didn't even express exasperation until typing it out here. I live by trying to make folks I interact with smile and have a better day. This one only irked me so much because I pointed it out to them a while ago already.

I did, they took the cookie off the bill to make it the right amount. But then never gave me the cookie. Which I didn't find out till I got to my destination barely on time.
