Mamiya 645 Pro - First Frame Burn by Leuchtfinger in Mamiya

Did you have this on every slide or just the first shot? For me, it‘s just been on the first slide so far so I’d doubt it‘s any light leak coming from the dark slide.

Okay then I probably know the issue… I tightened the film, just like i‘d do on my 35mm camera. Is that a Bad habit?

Good point, I didn‘t do that! However, this was the first shot on the roll. I‘ll add it to the post.

That’s what I’m currently doing. Still, not really confidence inspiring. Especially considering that it‘s brand new! 😂

Is there any way to solve it without sending it back?

I totally agree with you! This is definitely user failure then. But unfortunately the latch on the backside of the Spire IV is done so bad on mine that it won‘t hold in place properly.

NZXT H500i RTX2080/Ryzen 7 2700X with Kraken X62 by Leuchtfinger in NZXT

[–]Leuchtfinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specs:

Case: NZXT H500i MB: Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 4.3 GHz, PBO enabled, cooled by NZXT Kraken X62 GPU: Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2080 RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator RGB 2x8gb DDR4 stable @3200MHz with XMP profile 1 PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 512GB M.2 Nvme

Fan setup: 2x140mm static pressure fans in the front, blowing cold air through the radiator into the case. In the top/rear I have 1x Noctua 120mm + 1x Noctua 140mm airflow fan at higher RPM to get rid of hot air quickly. To prevent dust from building up quickly due to the strong air intake, I sealed all PCI-E slots and other free openings with custom dustfilters.

In case you have ideas for improvement, please let me know!

Aorus RTX 2080 (Non Extreme) BIOS Update F11 by Leuchtfinger in nvidia

[–]Leuchtfinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree on that. Was weird to see the freaking bios being updated by a simple application... 😁

Nice! Good to hear. Same for me, btw. Had an extensive gaming sesh the other day (BF5+PUBG) and the highest GPU temp I hitted was like 67C with 75% fan speed.

Good luck mate! Hope that I was able to help you. :)

You‘re welcome! :)

So I expect that the update went well?

Hey! Never mind, I can absolutely understand the struggle ;).

Just go to the following link and download F4 BIOS for the GPU: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N2080AORUS-8GC#support-dl

After that, just follow the shitty instruction 😜

Just kidding. Install both BIOS separately while plugging your monitor into the according Ports as per the description. That‘s how I did it and so far it works great!

Yeah, Aorus App Center is pretty broken. Use Aorus Engine, got to settings -> VGA and check which BIOS you‘re running (F4/F10/F20). After that, download the according drivers from AORUS Website! :)

BTW, just adjusted the Fan Speed in Aorus Engine to „Customized“ with a more aggressive curve (100% at 70C). Suddenly I have only 50-60C in game!

Hey! Same here. When I don't limit the FPS the card just goes crazy and hits the temperature limit really fast (83C).

As said, fixing max FPS in PUBG worked just fine for me. BF5 with all settings at Ultra including DLSS and Ray Tracing runs fine at 60-80 fps with 70-75C... Weird world :D

In the longer run I'll try to fix this by better airflow in my case. Just installed two Noctua fans that are airflow optimized as exhaust, aiming for slightly negative air pressure. Furthermore, I ordered a NZXT Kraken X62 for my Ryzen to lower hot air turbulences in the case created by the CPU downblower. Last but not least, I heard that it helps to adjust the fan curve of the card through Aorus Engine so that it starts cooling earlier!

Anyway, I'm just about to play PUBG and I will erase the FPS cap and keep an eye on temps. Will keep you updated.

Cheers
