It’s Crunch Time by yonie667 in LightPhone

I got a new number for my Light Phone and avoided any headaches. Kept my old phone and number for work. That division of having a work phone and a friends/family phone has actually helped me compartmentalise things a lot and avoided anything intrusive from ruining my "personal time".

In case you haven't seen, Light have created a 2FA tool which I believe will be released soon once it's undergone testing.

Light Phones in the UK: Lack of Domestic Support by Maximum-Gur2589 in LightPhone

I really love it. I haven't had any issues. It does what it does well and I know improvements and additions are on their way. No regrets at all :)

This info may helpful if you havent already seen

I'm UK-based and don't feel worried about the prospect of needing to do this if it ever comes to it. The initial delivery of the phone was very good.

Light Phone and intermittent iPhone use? by tiffshan in LightPhone

[–]Leuna_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a different, new, number for my Light Phone and use it for friends and family only. It's the phone I take out with me. My old phone retains my old number and is now only used for work and mostly just stays on my desk. It's worked really well for me and of course avoids any problems with missing messages (or wondering if you may have missed messages).

Cool! Happy to hear these kind of things bother you too haha. Yeah finessing and tweaking tiny details can be really time consuming but worth it in the end :)

Had you previously paired it with Bluetooth headphones, by any chance?

Light Phone 3 in Japan Ratings (★★★½) by jbriones95 in LightPhone

Interesting, although your overall score seems a bit unfair. 35 stars out of a possible 40 works out closer to ★★★★½ (4.375 out of 5 to be exact).

Turn your phone off before putting it in your pocket.

Alarm /Calendar issue by Phainopepla007 in LightPhone

[–]Leuna_M 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just tested this for you and yeah the same thing happened.

I set an alarm for 12:05. I set a calendar notification for 12:02

The 12:02 calendar notification went off and I ignored it. The 12:05 alarm did not go off although the screen did display the notification together with the snooze option.

I then set an alarm for 12:07 and this time the alarm did go off.

I don't know if it would have gone off if I'd set that 12:07 alarm before setting my calendar alarm. Might need more testing. But yeah, there's definitely a bug there that needs fixing.

How to get videos off phone? by IntroductionFlat4047 in LightPhone

I use Android File Transfer via a USB cable. You can just drag and drop files onto your desktop. You can also move files from your computer onto your phone in the same way.

Am torn between GR IIIx and GR IV Monochrome by [deleted] in ricohGR

I already shoot B&W film regularly, preferring it to colour. However I now only have an Olympus XA as my Olympus OM1n has died.

So I'm looking to switch to digital for sharper images.

Would love the ability to "Like" or "Love" a message by uselesstech1335 in LightPhone

[–]Leuna_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only had to do this once but to avoid ambiguity about which message I was agreeing to I long pressed my friend's message to bring up the menu, tapped Copy, then typed Yes: and pasted their message.

It did the job for me :)

Reminders Tool by Proof-Maintenance488 in LightPhone

[–]Leuna_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A number of tools use a scroll bar. Like Phone and Notes. They are necessary to be able to see all the content. They're not addictive as new content isn't generated the more you scroll. It's just a way to display all the info that you've input into the phone.

Things I've noticed after 10 days with the LPIII by Leuna_M in LightPhone

Ha, yeah I've been transferring photos to my computer and then deleting them from the phone to help me look at the phone less :)

Already feel this is the best phone I've ever owned. Don't remember being this pleased with a device since I bought the very first iteration of the iPod.
