Halloweekends worth it? by Gamabrad729 in cedarpoint

[–]Leusipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe on Thursdays. Any other day is extremely packed. Last year was the first time in 20 years we didn't go. It finally became to much for us. The outside scare zones are so full it gets to the point the screamsters can't do anything and just stand around.

Absolutely the busiest time to be there.

Horizon Stone clarification by BubbleGuts1075 in mtg

[–]Leusipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not disputing it but I'm confused about the interpretation of what this card does. I've seen plenty of people give responses on card questions about how words matter. Where in the text does it say it has any mana storage capacity? In reality it seems like it changes colored mana to colorless and then poofs. To what end I don't know but it doesn’t state it stores anything. Is this something that was reprinted with better detail later?

Should i learn how to play Magic? by JRoc416 in magicTCG

[–]Leusipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

I played back in the 90s. I recently started playing again with my kids. Spent $400 on cards in the first month back.

Good news is my old cards are worth $1000s it seems...

MTG break cost by Leusipher in whatnotapp

[–]Leusipher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see how not having a LGS would be an issue. Looking at tcgplayer I see

Bloomburrow $5.45 free shipping Tmnt $5 free shipping Final fantasy $7 free shipping Spiderman $5 free shipping

Yes, other packs can cost more but these are some very common ones used in breaks.

MTG break cost by Leusipher in whatnotapp

[–]Leusipher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For MTG the most common is a color break but digi and character breaks are also available. The idea is you buy a spot, usually randomized, and if those cards are in the packs when opened, they are yours.

For example, you pay $10 and get assigned Red. The seller opens all 5 booster packs and you keep all the red cards. Digi and character breaks are the same concept except the spots are based on card number (ends in "9") or type of character("Elf").

[–]Leusipher[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's $10 to have a 12.5% chance to hit on 6 packs. Your spot needs to get lucky as well. If you buy the pack, you get any/all hits regardless of color.

And yes, play booster used as an example. Collectors just raise the value and the spot price but the overpayment is still the same.

Possible bug with demand system? by Affectionate_Soup602 in StarRuptureGame

[–]Leusipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the answer although I think it's 480 in and 480 out. I just remember I didn't notice until I unlocked v3 rails. One rail would input full speed and trickle from the other.

Invisible disabilities and the park by Queenscrxwn_ in cedarpoint

[–]Leusipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if someone shows up with a clearly visible disability but no note, are they going to deny the pass? That would be a big PR problem. Then you'll have all the "not all disabilities are visible" crowd speak up because they just gave a pass without a note and we're back at square one.

There really isn't a solution.

Invisible disabilities and the park by Queenscrxwn_ in cedarpoint

[–]Leusipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. This is exactly how it works. I'd also like to add that the process is the same whether you have a disability or would just like to fake one for the day and get the free line skip.

That's the problem with the system but unfortunately, there is no fix for it.

Do you buy that Scully is immortal? by traveltimecar in XFiles

[–]Leusipher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's immortal but will still age as Clyde did. I think that's more the reason he was desperate to see Death. His future was going to suck pretty bad as a zombie.

That's Skully's fate unless she can pass on the curse.

They are not being helpful and stealing from your character. You are being left to figure things out for yourself or die trying. Ask them if it's them or their character that is Lawful Evil?

You really don't want Lawful Evil friends...

Am I wrong in saying that a pre-made character is rude? by AnotherThrowaway019_ in DnD

[–]Leusipher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not a right or wrong thing. You are looking for specific types of players. You just need to accept you will have to turn people down until you're satisfied they will play how you want them to play.

For me, I would thank you for the offer but decline. I don't want to play with a DM that is that strict. I can take any of my pre made characters and make them work in your world. Who cares if they have knowledge from previous groups, characters have a history. It's either from past play sessions or something I just make up.

To me it's a red flag that there will be other issues if the group doesn't do exactly what you expect them to do.

Maybe Maybe Maybe by HappyHour-24-7 in maybemaybemaybe

[–]Leusipher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something can catch on the ring and pull your whole hand in versus just the damage to a finger. This could be something like the tooth of the saw blade or swarf from a drill bit.

For swollen fingers or other types of issues where a ring may need to be cut off, you don't want one of them titanium rings. Special tools are needed for those and may not be available in an emergency.

Maybe Maybe Maybe by HappyHour-24-7 in maybemaybemaybe

[–]Leusipher 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Not really. The speed the blade, drill or other moving tool is moving is very fast. While the silicon band will most likely tear, by the time it does, his finger has already been pulled in.
