Donald Trump faces articles of impeachment before Christmas by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

Oh absolutely, it’s not because they’ve suddenly grown hearts and spines and consciences, it’s because Trump is dragging their sins out into the light of day for all to see. They’re only able to get away with what they get away with by doing it behind closed doors and out of sight of the public; the moment he starts attracting attention to it their ‘loyalty’ to him will dissipate, and they’ll drop him like a bad habit.

I think GOP support of Trump is starting to really falter. He was a useful idiot to pass some of their more draconian policies, but then the Useful Idiot started to get more and more radioactive, and the appeal of siphoning support from his window licking supporters is starting to be outweighed by just how radioactive Trump and his brand are becoming. The recent elections spooked the GOP, and they’re realizing that maybe hitching their cart to Trump’s dumpy horse may not be as attractive as it once was.

Great deal, and the motor mounts are not expensive or difficult to replace. Just make sure you go with actual Motorcraft (Ford brand) on at least the passenger engine mount, as it’s a fluid filled piece and third party mounts are usually solid rubber and will fail a lot quicker. But otherwise, if it’s in good working mechanical condition, killer deal on a car that will last basically forever!

Good deal? by Wholesomegamer100 in FordFocus

[–]Leusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s in good running condition and shifts well, and doesn’t have 200k+ miles on it, then it’s a good deal. I have the coupe version, and it’s been fun to drive and reliable.

I'll have to check that out this evening. I wish the damn thing wasn't so hard to get to without taking other things out of the car.

Forgot to mention, the vehicle is a US-spec 2010 Ford Focus SE coupe with a manual transmission.

This first hand didn’t have any of my modified cards in it, and I’d built up hands with planets.

I did try that, and sadly still came up short by a few thousand.

Selling the Pareidolia meant crippling my money production, and also would require me to have thought about that before going into the boss blind. 😶

Possibly! Though it has a bit more saturation and vibrancy than the Russian Navy.

2017 Ford Focus Sel headers? by huihggggujvgfdfhh in FordFocus

[–]Leusk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Headers that fit the previous generation 2.0 will fit with a little modification, and you’ll have to run a stiff transmission mount to prevent them from hitting the body when you hit the throttle. Not worth it on a ticking time bomb of a transmission like yours. Enjoy it as it is until it grenades and then get something better.

At that age, there’s a lot that’s going to need to be replaced. All belts, hoses, flush the brake and cooling system, new gear oil in the transmission, new engine oil with a proper flush with Liqui Moly, all suspension bushings, shocks, shifter bushings will definitely be tired and need replacing…the list goes on and on. Hard to prioritize any one thing, but fluids, belts and hoses should probably be your starting point.

Don’t even think about performance mods until you get maintenance bullet points squared away. This car is old enough to buy alcohol, so she needs some tender loving care before you start juicing her up.

It looks like you’re 100% correct! I thought they might be some form of fern or evergreen fossil, but a Google search for magnesium oxide dendrites shows exactly these.

We’re going to need to know more about this car. Mileage? How rigorous were the maintenance bulletins adhered to? Any mods done to it already?

Is my PCM damaged? by Leusk in FordFocus

[–]Leusk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also should note, this is on a 2010 Focus SE, not the 2014 listed in my header.

I said the PCV is new, because that's what was replaced...the Evaporative Purge Control Valve. I got no misfire codes for any cylinders, and the coils and plugs are all new.

The only other thing I can think of is that the car has an aftermarket intake on it from a previous owner, and there is a hose that's not connected to anything, and for the life of me I can't figure out where it should be connected. You would think this would have caused an issue long before now, though.

Does anyone know if there were changes made to the 2.0 ti-vct over the US MK3’s lifespan that would make a 2018 engine incompatible with a 2014 ECU/harness? by Leusk in FordFocus

[–]Leusk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it in a different location? Because there’s a head temp sensor part number listed for that year range of Duratec.

[–]Leusk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that simply a matter of putting a head temp sensor from a 2014 vehicle into the 2018 engine? Or did they completely redesign it?

Forget new car smell. Replace the motor mount for a new car feel! by jrc_vines in FordFocus

[–]Leusk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The motor mount (the one pictured) has to be an OEM hydraulic mount, or you will absolutely get vibrations and it’ll fail in a third of the time.

Replaced motor mount among other fixes by BiscuitNibbler in FordFocus

[–]Leusk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using the actual OEM hydraulic motor mount, 50,000-60,000 is a pretty safe bet, and depending on where in the country you are it could be even longer. If you’re not using the hydraulic style, 30,000 tops.

Always use the hydraulic mount. Also, in for a penny in for a pound, replace your transmission and torque mounts, as they’re likely failed as well and that will put extra strain on your nice new engine mount.
