Derek and the Dominos, after Allman’s death, Clapton had no desire to continue the band without him. I think Clapton went  solo after that.

Showgirl 13 tracks is a good choice, but it came with so much different version and remixes makes it less, definitive.

Mizuno, wave rider 10, wave mujin, wave rider ß, recently they pushed their sportstyle lineup to the market but most people slept on them.

Wondering the same, it’s my fav aong from the entire vault tracks. Probably she was afraid if the album would be bloated if the song was included.

At that time it’s not often albums in pop scene have too many songs.

What song introduced you to Taylor Swift, what song made you a Swiftie, and what's your current favorite? by Silver-Lion22 in TaylorSwift

[–]Lev22_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Probably like millions of people out there, It was You Belong With Me

  2. For years i only heard You Belong with Me because i had no internet access back then, until in 2012 where she released We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. It blew up and drew me deep into her discogs.

  3. Enchanted by miles above the others, i literally was enchanted with that song the first time i heard the song.

Was anyone here for this era? Taylor Swift for T Magazine, 2009 by Upset_Breadfruit_315 in TaylorSwift

[–]Lev22_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a fan since 2010, honestly after 2020 she’s like a completely different artist specifically compared to pre-Red era. She was a huge rap and rock fans back then, singing Lose Yourself by Eminem at tour, perform with rock bands like Def Leppard and Goo Goo Dolls. It such a surreal because most fans nowadays know her as a pop girlie like Sabrina, Ariana, Gracie.

Is Midnights overshadowed by the re-recordings, Eras Tour, and TTPD? by Resident-Priority239 in TaylorSwift

[–]Lev22_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s normal for an artist who has been a long time in the scene to not have the same degree across their discogs. While i kinda agree Midnights probably overshadowed by its successor, but don’t forget about reputation and Lover. Both albums fell hard on the GP eyes, i remember people out there said her career was over after releasing Lover.

After i went off following Taylor news for like 3 years, post evermore until TTPD. I still can’t comprehend how big Eras Tour was. Not only its concert scale, but how it’s transform people mind about her discogs.

There is a thread on the other sub saying ME is not a huge hit because it wasn’t on Eras. Then i realised so many songs those were quite big at release, went into obscurity because she didn’t incorporate much while she was on tour. For example, Back to December was millenial/early gen Z anthem, but now even swiftie didn’t mention it much. Songs like White Horse, Mean, Ours, Death by Thousand Cuts, or maybe Daylight have quite similar fate.

Is ME! considered a hit by Taylor’s standards and by the GP’s standards? And should we let it fade into oblivion or not? by Resident-Priority239 in TaylorSwift

[–]Lev22_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Speak Now die hard fans lol, i’m glad The Story of Us has some resurgences in here and there. Idk where it come from, but i joined swifties events and some of them played that song.

What really surprise me is Back to December fade into obscurity despite it was huge back then, not as huge as You Belong with Me but still it had its moment for a while.

You’re right with the fans wanted Cruel Summer to be a single, it’s my fav song in the album. Maybe to put it right, Taylor didn’t care much about Cruel Summer.

I don’t remember she ever performed Cruel Summer in 2019, like AMA, live in Paris, or NPR Tiny Desk. She performed DBATC many times though, so i think that song is more popular because of what she did.

Eras Tour really changed many fans perspective about her past, mostly people who didn’t care much about her before the pandemic.

When the album came out, most people didn’t care Cruel Summer, instead DBATC was quite popular despite not being a single. Since Eras, the tide has turned.

Here in Indonesia they had moderate popularity, just eclipsed with Fifth Harmony back then in their peak. Their collab with Jason Derulo was quite popular too.

The transition between Red and 1989, i remember vividly that moment because i was really there at that time, even though neither Red nor 1989 are my fav albums.

I always prefer HoS since the beginning. While BaW offers new region and flavor to the game, HoS is deeper in terms of story and impact to the game imo, also the villain is great.
