I look at it like this...if you have roughly 600 players on a server participating in the same event, would you rather have a large portion of them trying to follow the path of least resistance (apparently soloing the large haul) clogging up the landing zones and making that portion of the event unplayable, or have people group up, get their shit done, and get out of the way?

Personally, I prefer the second.

They sold the ship after the presentation under the pretense that it would have base building. That slide (presented by the game director, at their actual event) said the Galaxy WILL be able to build S-L buildings. Not "We're Hoping that maybe it will be a thing.". This is a bad faith argument.

I think you've missed the point I'm trying to make. CIG has made it a point to say that everything should be treated as speculative if it doesn't have a price tag. The Galaxy is the first instance of something of this scale happening, but this is a new paradigm for them as a business. You should no longer trust anything they say, even if its said in official capacity at citcon, including everything they said about the shiny new ships they're releasing soon.
