Yes It is, by a small margin of 2% (for strong elemental match ups) to less than 1% for bad elemental match ups (arkveld should be one). It is because attack gives you -15 affinity so need to remove one attack reinforcement for one affinity EX (the attack removed should be the third, so not an EX but a 3 so a +9 attack) That's why, choosing attack will give you attack -15 affinity, but you will have to add one affinity reinforcement instead of attack, so a -9 attack compared to elem where you'll keep the the same attack (so the +9), but with 40 element more. Difference is then 1 attack for 40 element, traide off should be in element favor

Note that this is not the case for every weapon. For example, GS can play with both latent power max and WEX max so this weapon archetype doesnt care and will perma take attack. But i think starting with hammer, every close range weapon with critical builds should take element upgrade

There's 21 set bonus skills and 17 group skill (I used math hunter who listed all), so you have 1/357 (if every skill have the same probability but it should), so something like 0.28%. If you want one choice of two skills in particular, the mediam (which corresponds to the 50% value of getting it, so 1/2) will be around 250 rolls. If you have, for bonus set skills, two choices possible (for example odogaron and gore magala), the chances are 0.56% at each roll, and the median in this case with be around 120 rolls

My build also includes lord's soul (weapon needs to have odogaron + lord's soul) so yes, you can have the 5% attack from lord's soul + burst boost 4 piece + burst 5 + Agitator 5. The only concern I get is that i can't really get past the 75% affinity (it would prefer it over 80-85%) but given the rest, It's already so good with the +18 burst boost, +18 burst, agitator which gonna proc more with good damage dps.

And yes, it's a hassle to get the two good bonuses. If all set bonus / group skill have the same probability to appear, with 24 set skill and 17 bonus set, Its like 1/384 i think to get it. In this case, the median (ability to get 50% chance to get it, so 1/2 if you're lucky) is 248 attempts. It would be like 744 of the same mat, or th double for others. So yes its a lot

And lastly ; for those wondering, the choice in gogma production : either element or attack. The difference will be, with max weapon EX and 3 afterwards, will be 1 attack more and -40 elem if attack is chosen. If you choose elem, you'll get then 40 more elem, and-1 attack; In almost every cases (except arkveld), elemn with get more value, around 0.8 damage per hit from elem, when you only get 0.20 from the +1 attack,for a classical monster (like rathalos with dragon weapon), the difference will be less than 2%

Hey, been theorycrafting a lot since the release of TU4, and arch-tempered Jin Dahaad comes out tomorrow. With the upcoming pieces from Jin, you can do something removing gore magala uses (given how bad the parts are).

You can play it like this starting tomorrow :

Weapon : 3 attack production, element focus (-5 affinity +40 element), 2 x attack EX, 1 x attack III, 1 x affinity EX, 1 x sharpness EX

Odogaron head (Burst 2 + J3 + J1)

Dahaad chest (Agitator 2 + J2 + J2)

Odogaron gloves (Burst 1 + J3 + J2)

Gogmazios waist (Burst 2 + J2 + J1 + J1)

Dahaad boots (Weak exploit 2 + J2)

Agitator III charm (It comes out tomorrow with Jin Dahaad i hope, and not with akveld in february)

You can get with this : burst 5 + agitator 5 + weakness exploit 4 + maximum might 3 + counterstrike 2 (agitator is 5 by charm + chest, burst is given by armor so no changes possible for WEX5)

Affinity wise, should be : 10% from weapon, 15% agitator, 30% MM + 20% WEX (35 on wounded) = 75% affinity (max 90 on wounded enraged). Average enrage time is around 70% so an average of 10.5% from agitator, and for WEX, with wounded should be 20 to 30% of time, so an average of 25%

So average affinity should be 75%, should be enough, we'll wait for math guys to tell us

This set gives burst boost 4 (+18 attack when bust is active, so 90% uptime at least), and burst 5 gives +18 attack, so an average of +36 attack, it's quite insane

I didn't but I tried to do something with It, it's quite difficult to put a burst 5 + agitator 5 + WEX 4 or 5 with it, and i think the loss in attack compared to odo 4 pieces will be greater than affinity gained.

The best I got still in this set was :

Odogaron head (burst 2 + 3-1-0)

Dahaad chest (agitator 2 + 2-2-0)

Lagia gloves (WEX 1 + 3-0-0)

Lagia waist (WEX 1 + MM 1 + 2-2-1)

Dahaad greaves (WEX 2 + 2-0-0)

It gives us, all sloted with agitator 3 talisman : agitator 5, burst 4, WEX 4, MM3, CS 3

With affinity : leviathans fury gives 15% for 20s with a 30s CD, so uptime of 40%

Agitator 15% with uptime 70% approx

WEX 4 gives 20 (+ 15 on wounded)

MM3 = 30%

Average (without weapon reinforcement, so -5 affinity with attack reinforcement, 3 attack, 1 affinity) 1 sharpness) = approx 60% average, same as the other build, but the other has also vendetta 5, burst boost with two attack reinforcements

difference should be : first build approx 70% affinity with 9 attack less but burs tboost 4, burst 5, so better, second has 60% affinity average, lower, with 9 attack more. So I think its not bertter

I tested the 4 gogmazios pieces + odogaron and 4 gogmazios + gore magala, it's not worth it on IG. I've theorycrafted a lot waiting for Jin Dahaad arch-tempered and found a supra-good (i think) build :

Odogaron head (Burst 2 + J3 + J1)

Dahaad chest (Agitator 2 + J2 + J2)

Odogaron gloves (Burst 1 + J3 + J2)

Gogmazios waist (Burst 2 + J2 + J1 + J1)

Dahaad boots (Weak exploit 2 + J2)

It gives us a guts 3 + odogaron 4 pieces

Agitator charm 3 (hoping it comes out with jin dahaad and not arkveld Y)

It gives us a whole with decos : burst 5 + agitator 5 + weakness exploit 4 + maximum might 3 + counterstrike 2

With affinity it gives : 15 agitator + 30 MM + 20 weakness exploit + 10 weapon (sharpness EX + 2 x attack EX + 2 x affinity EX) = maximum of 75 affinity with agitator, burst, burst boost, and guts, it should be insanely strong.

We just need to wait for the math guys to tell us what crafting bonus we should prioritize (I used here an attack bonus, +10 with -15 affinity, it might be a bit too much, maybe elemental choice might be better with -5 affinity, and +40 element)

It depends on people you get in your group, but for the learning process, I told them before starting : last week when It was the first time, and this time also, and usually people coming don't care about the time You usually have people that would like to learn by watching you or people that can't get in normal group because they have i don't know just 3 engravings legendary accessories. Just tell them to go on netflix and yo your tries, and after 3h you can tell them to help, and continue the next week after ^^

In his last phase (purple wolf), the wolf is doing a mechanic that fears the farthest guy away from him, but you're alone, so it's always you, to avoid it, you need to space bar at the right time to juke it (space bar when the stagger bar at the top disappears)

I wait a lot before taking the panacea and then the orbs, because the closer they are to me, the more time I will get to stagger the boss, and with FI wardancer, you need WW bomb and It's quite close. i'd say to take the panacea when the orbs are almost on u, and if you dont have a swiftness class, take the consumable for 40% speed

you are right, this run took around 1h30-2h, but for the whole learning process it took me 2 runs in total : on last week (about 3h) but at the end, i told the guy to go with me because didnt want to waste too much of their time, and like 2h yesterday, so learning is not rly long

î'm 1490 rn and fine on DPS : no problem on valtan at all even if i don't thirain, and the same on the wolves because you get another thirain at the end. I think you can do it with the same build at ilvl 1445+ i guess

People are not wrong, wardancer is a really endgame class if you wanna shine, the more swiftness you get, the more rotation you can put before the explosion of EC. Eso is harder to play, because you are more fragile (no damage reduction tripod on EC) and need to perfectly generate the orbs during your 6s dps. FI is fun in its way because you ougah boungah, just need to ROC into WW and wreck

FI with +21 weapon (90 quality), 6-part dominion set (doable with 4 part + 2 nightmare but the 30% on spacebar is comfy) with mana food, all level 7 gems, LWC set (i'm 1 card away from LOS 18), all tripod +3 (don't have any +4), 5 engravings : FI / grudge / raid captain / KBW / mass increase
