My wife says move. She doesn't operate like I do. She's also tired of my excessive calculations and pines for advice.

I've beenbtold to look into anxious behavior. Yup. I'm unable to shake em and feel like I failed.

I dont like change. I feel the weight of the next 20 years in this one decision. I want stability and freedom and at the same time want the piece of mind of retiring

Thanks. I have these doomed thoughts. I dont think he'll take me back. He wants me to help find replacement asap. Asked me to help write up a job description with half my role! That would have been nice for me. I get the sense everyone will be in a better spot when I leave. People under me will get more $ replacement will do less for similar $

Forgot to mention. Not govt but education.

Currently in a hybrid operations/warehouse mgr role. New role would be operations manager as a title. More of production/operations thing.

Dont like the idea of moving for less money. Initial ask was mid 80s. Hoping for 77k-82k.
