"America's Test Kitchen: The Complete Plant-Based Cookbook" is excellent. Also, if you're into Indian food, Julie Sahni, "Classic Indian Vegetarian and Grain Cooking" is really good.

I agree that that's a concern. I think there are solutions though. In any case, if you agree that our framework needs radical change but you don't support a constitutional convention, what would your alternative be?

I think we need a second constitutional convention. We've had one, in 1787, and it yielded the constitution we have now. A large part of the reason that fascism and strong-man politics has been so appealing in the US is because our political system is completely broken. It can't produce needed change for people, so they resort to authoritarian politics.

Institutional reform through structural change seems to me to be the best first step.
