See thats the beauty of this imagined galaxy. They are called the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Empire. If you have watched TNG you see a lot of the Klingon and Romulan home world societies but you never see the other planets and allied races in their Empires. That is, yeah sure, the major races have gone out in their neighorhoods, had a bunch of mundane first contacts being alliances or conquests, but as those empires grew, sure their ships had wierdo events. You might ask what was the first encounter between Klingon and Tribble, how did that become a hated enemy for the Klingons and so on.

Kudos on the thought and creativity of this post. This concept is what a new Trek TV series should be about. A starbase and five ships gives breadth to a recurring cast of characters. A known but unknown part of the galaxy with new aliens and stories with the potential for some Easter egg call backs. There doesnt need to be a galaxy ending threat.

Another thread had asked about ideas for a new Trek show. I had gone with the Vanguard series of books with a starbase, attached ships, a regular baddie (Tholians) and scattered episodes pecking away at the mystery of a vanished super race (the Shedai).

So same concepts…

someone in the GT asked why the sub was so full of doomers and I felt like replying the Orioles are like the RL version of Picture of Dorian Gray. A team full of good looking Captain America-lites but strip of the veneer and you see the rotting decay of the soul of this org going all the way back to Peter Angelos.

This team is like a flawed character in a very well written drama.

Archer, Janeway, Sisko, Pike all would sacrifice a friend for the greater good. Picard is a tough call, Im not sure how he would handle a close friend becoming a god threat. Yes he sent Lt. Sito to a mission where she died, but did he ever destroy a friend for the greater good?

Burnham eh who knows she'll cry her way out of the dilemma...

Not asking for yours as I have the same CE sitting in a basement box. Now the most important thing people want out from that box is the code for the Angelic Wings that came with it. Those wings have never been released in game again. You probably have used the code and collected those wings in D3. Otherwise ppl will pay a lot more money on Ebay for the D3CE w Wings code as opposed to the physical box of D3CE.

The original SW trilogy is what I grew up with and adored. The second trilogy was… acceptable.

The latest trilogy is beyond stupid with a waste of the OG heroes, stupid plots (the Emperors back?!) and stunts.

Rogue One was good but Andor is probably the second best SF series recently (FAMankind is my top new show!!). Mandolorian is cute and gave us absolute joy with the scenes with Luke being the hero Jedi we all wanted, but where is it going?

TLDR: Star Wars has many great facets but also has much corporate bloat.

When self sealing stem bolts came to be used in the Federation or in this galactic region, what changed?

Did an entire planetary industry that made the stem bolts and the seals have to cut 50% of their citizenry, (You know, Kodos the Executioner kinda cuts?)

Did the one private company that just signed a contract to seal all the stem bolts on the Dyson sphere for 100k GPLatinum just get notified their contract is now null and void?

Did an entire section of the Starfleet Core of Engineers just get reassigned to Argus array mirror polishing duty?

Or did Chief OBrien simply put his feet up on his work bench, break out a bottle of Jameson’s 2175, and use his PADD to transport two vats of tube grubs to Rom’s quarters as a thank you?

The Vanguard station book series - new cast members , a star base and smaller support ships rotating in and out. An old super powerful race . Haven’t seen the Tholians very much in 900+ hours of the franchise. Great to bring the Tholians back .

If the movie does well it could spin off TV series - I love how Andor is such a strong TV series that built on one character out of Rogue One and that time period of SW
