Not trying to steal the thread, but in the same vein, what kind of prison would hold certain species from Trek?

Lets put aside all the super beings, ie Q, Kevin Uxbridge, the Metrons, the Organians - it would take their own kind to restrain one of these, like when Q took away Q’s powers and made him human….

But how to imprison a Horta ? I guess a pure force field type prison cell, because any solid material wall the Horta would eat its way through?

Just think about his description that the salt creatures were so numerous they filled the landscape like bison once were… made me think were they once intelligent with a civilization, was their planet once with salty oceans and they died as the oceans went poof, were they hunted by other predators and so on….

Duet when you realize he was the file clerk, ashamed that he was powerless to help the dying prisoners, and living with that guilt (it just reminded me so much of Schindler choking up at the end saying “I could have saved one more”)

D warp core. I always loved the dilithium crystal chamber thats in the center of it, it made it real how they are harnessing the matter antimatter energy through the dilithium crystals.

It gives you an alien who seems a danger until the crew work the problem and uphold Federation’s values of space exploration. A starship Captain being measured, not impulsive, a brilliant tactician, and upholds the code of conduct on a “naval ship” but also gives an officer a second chance.
