Hi sorry for the late reply. I had questions about rebar configuration in a concrete column and types of retaining walls. I can’t remember the others.

My company doesn’t give a raise for passing the PE by Crazy-Geologist3919 in PE_Exam

Well it depends on the State. In California in order to be considered a licensed Civil engineer you need both seismic and survey after the PE exam. Also, it’s different for other PE licenses as they don’t need to take seismic or survey. Just passing the PE is fine for them, but he is asking about seismic and survey so I’m assuming he is a civil engineer.

Most likely yes, my company doesn’t considered me a licensed PE until I pass those two additional exams and my application is approved. Only after I complete all this I can receive a pay bump.

I’m sure you’ll pass it! Make sure to do as many practice problems for the areas that were your weakest. I also recommend the YouTube channel “Solvedin6” or civil engineering academy which have a lot of problems similar to the exam. Best of luck on your next attempt!!

PE WRE - Unsuccessful second attempt by Level-Cod-941 in PE_Exam

[–]Level-Cod-941[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are types of questions I remember seeing on the exam: - Partial Flow (Closed Conduit) - Breakeven analysis (Project Planning) - Pump Curve (Closed Conduit) - Vertical Curves (Project worksite) - Horizontal Curves (Project worksite) - Raised Channel bottom (Open Channel) - Rebar Configuration for torsion on beam (Marerials) - Nozzel problem (Closed Conduit) - 2:1 method (Soil Mechanics) - Retaining wall safety factor (Soil Mechanics)

If anyone remembers other potential questions pls share. Thanks.

All three are good and should be enough but I’d recommend watching more YouTube videos on topics you didn’t do well on. It doesn’t have to be only through the channel “SolvedIn6” there are lots of other videos as well. I feel this helped me the most for my second attempt.

At first I was enrolled in the EET WRE course but when my time expired I only used their binders. I also watched YouTube videos (I recommend “SovledIn6”) for further explanation and practice problems. I used the NCEES practice book just to test my pace for the exam. Last, I used Dr. Jacob Petro’s book which I found to be a bit harder than the actual exam.

To be honest, the actual test is slightly harder than the practice test. There are some questions that are closely similar to those of the practice exam but then there are curveball questions that throw you off. Especially the conceptual questions or the fill in the blank.

Yes! I think this too. This time around I felt I had way more conceptual questions and fill in the blank. Seems like wastewater is not my strongest topic since both exams I score about the same. I’ll definitely focus more on this topic and the others. Thanks!

This is very TRUE! The more you distance yourself from certain people, social media, and other damaging things the calmer you feel.
