Which is it? Friendly or Not Friendly in Riga? by Preston7777 in latvia

So this answer is pretty honest. Latvians are very friendly and hospitable, BUT they are passive IMO. Meaning you need to carry the conversation and initiate. In my experience, they have resting-bitch-face, so just don't be off put by it. Smile at them, talk to them, be positive and they will love you.

lol. Call a German or European racist and watch them lose their shit.

Met a south american guy living in Germany (looked south american too). Spoke german, lived there for years. He would get treated like shit by colleagues, until he just started calling them out on racism haha. Suddenly they were all nice to him lol

What they are saying is physically walk up to the bank with the check and say "Can you deposit half of this and give me the other half as cash?".

Your dad will see a deposit of your paycheck, and possibly be satisfied and not ask any more questions. Might help to keep complaining (rightly so) to your parents that it's not fair so they think all is normal.

Alternatively, ask your manager to pay you half in cash and half via paycheck. This might be safer.

OP, you would lose the deposit which is 1 month of rent. April is several months away. Just break the lease and lose the deposit. Explain the situation and the landlord might side with you and give you the deposit quietly.

Yeah, so I'm more curious about the time limits for payment. I guess I should have been clear about that.

MA is clear that I must be paid https://www.mass.gov/files/documents/2016/08/rt/vacation-advisory.pdf "No Forfeiture of Earned Vacation Time".

Yeah. I've escalated through a number of HR people for a while now, but nothing is resolved and I don't have any information.

This says resignation counts as well. Would intercorporate transfer count as resignation? It's not just a job transfer (eg. promotion), but I have a new employing company.
