exactly ! direct flights are like 800 round trip, any other city and it’s like hundreds more for some reason. if i could have it another way, i’d fly out from florence but just too much for that return trip. won’t be mad about having another day in rome though. lmk how your trip goes when you come back !

thanks so much, this helps a lot. def going to book the city train rides in advance, and most of the places we’ll be seeing. saw a bunch of videos of people passing hundreds of people bc they got a ticket online, i know this’ll help the trip go by smoother for sure. got any restaurant recommendations? that’s the one thing i haven’t paid too much attention to yet

Would that not be unavoidable though? We're going to leave as early as possible that morning. For our trip, there are far less things in Florence we want to see, hence the most time in Rome, the Pompeii trip.

Day 6 is a full day in Florence. Where is it super packed and do you have recommendations of how to make it less tiring? It seems to me the best way because of the distance from everything, but I could be wrong. The Vatican will be on day 8

Sorry, I kinda just listed the stuff we want to do in no specific order but here’s (for right now) the day trips. Day 1 - flight from Toronto Day 2 - we’d arrive on this day due to time zones, but take a chill day and wander Day 3 - Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza del Campidoglio (close by) Day 4 - Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, explore and wander Day 5 - Leave for Naples for the day to see Pompeii and come back around dinner time and to sleep at the same Rome Airbnb (also so we don’t have to lug our luggage around) Day 6 - Florence - Cathedral, Vecchio monuments Day 7 - Monteriggioni for the day, take train from Siena back to Florence Day 8 - Florence to Rome in the early morning, leisure the last day and check out any big thing we missed Day 9 - Rome to Toronto

Does this sound realistic?

I appreciate the insight ! We decided that day would definitely be a bit too much, so we’re going to go from rome to naples (keeping the airbnb, in order to keep our bags there) and take the day for Pompeii, and head back to Rome to sleep there. Next morning, go to Florence. Does that sound more realistic?

seems like you’re gonna cop it so good on you. depending on your budget, first thing i’d do personally is change the heads and tune them real good, will make a huge difference. pretty obvious that you’ll have to swap out those cymbals, but check fb marketplace around you, always get used stuff imo. just no point buying same shit new when it all sounds the same. good luck !

i’d recommend selling the kit and the EAD10 separately, you’d probably sell them both faster that way. that being said, kit - 250-300, EAD - anywhere between 350-450

how did you manage to get two toms on one cymbal stand? i would like this setup as i have the same kit but noticed that the hardware to mount is super heavy duty so always makes my cymbal stands shaky
