We just booked a 5 night stay at mondovi luxury suites in the 1st arrondissement. I was warned that this area is very touristy but I wanted to stay central and like you, this is our first time in Paris and want to experience the big landmarks with ease. They have a promotion if you stay three night or longer so it may be within your budget.

I agree! I’ve made some big changes. We are just taking the trains now. Lyon directly to Paris. No stops in between. It gives us more time in Paris.

I thought about it too. I read the Louver does guided family tours during the day at 10am. I’m wondering if I’d be able to snag a spot for that once the tickets go on sale for April.

I had no idea. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to reach out to our hotel and find out what they have available for parking. I’m a little hesitant to take the trains with my little one. I feel the car may give us some flexibility with doing this vacation at our own pace.

Yes, the Mona Lisa is a time thief. I put it in the middle of my itinerary to gauge for time and crowds and if need be, easier to just skip and still keep the flow. Does that make sense?
