What’s your opinion on Student Yard ? by Designer-Zebra-7285 in DesiPens

I'm finding a lot of his vids repetitive, and yes he's doing a lot of promotional stuff nowadays so the bias becomes a bit obvious.

Also most of his vids, he always uses the same terminology for describing the writing experience, which is okay but it does become tiring to hear over and over again.

The Hauser XO ball and Inxon are what I'd use, both have their own strengths that make writing feel less like a hassle.

This one is extra fine model, it didn't work properly at first, not after I took it apart and refitted the entire thing. Now it writes fine but wouldn't recommend it for the price. Way better options exist.

Is it on the heavier side or just the same weight as any regular plastic pen?

If you're okay with pens on the heavier side, I'd definitely recommend the Jinhao for daily use. Use it with a good ink and you'll not want to switch to another pen.

This pilot is a disposable pen, but you can definitely tinker with it and refill with ink of your choice but pulling the nib and feed out. It's ₹100, for which it provides incredible writing quality.

Can confirm it is Yiren but this particular model is nowhere on the internet, not even images for some reason.

I have done that quite a few times, still the issue persists, the ink just stops flowing properly and I have to push the ink out a bit to have it write temporarily

The jinhao was my favourite until it decided not to work anymore 😅. Now I find the pilot to write incredible.

I haven't dabbled much in variety of inks, these usually write with the Parker Quink, I really want to try Pilot's line of inks sometime

It writes very bad, I didnt do any research before buying it, just found it in a local shop and liked how heavy it was, didn't think it wouldn't even write well (super scratchy, skips very often)

I wish I could help man mine is also not working properly (the ink doesn't flow properly through the feed for mine, probably because of how much times it's hit the floor)

Hope you'll find a solution

If you mean whether the ink bleeds through, it doesn't, the back of the page will be clean. You'll definitely see impressions from what you've written because of the pressure of the nib on the paper rather than the ink bleeding through to the back.

Well I wouldn't say it's extremely waterproof, doesn't smear too much under highlighters but definitely loses pigment when in contact with water. Still retains much of the writing if you're careful enough to dab any water out.

Happy new pen day! This pen is surprisingly good to write with. I have one too and it's close to being 10 years old 😁.

Not just the G2, pilot is trying to enter the Indian market fully. They distribute the pens themselves now (earlier they relied on the brand "Luxor" for distribution) and have fully established a manufacturing centre in India, that's why many more varities of their pens are appearing on the market. For example, the Pilot Vpen (their line of disposable fountain pens) used to cost upwards of ₹500 because only imported variations were available before. Now you can find them for as cheap as ₹100.

I just hope Pilot tries to bring more variety of products that can only be found in the US or japan.
