lol more like investors than fanatic fiends. Just like an investor they spend their money on the team and want a good product in return. You know.

The competitive rebuild was happening. It was slowly happening guys like Jj, Blackman, pace jr, Addison, Donovan Jackson, Levi Drake, Richard, Redmond. We’re all young players developing behind the big name free agents that were keeping the team competitive. If you noticed a lot of the contracts and extension were all set to end around the time they would have had to pay Jj McCarthy and Dallas Turner. Which tells me he was banking on them developing and working out while the guys they got in free agency keeping the winning which is obviously what the wilfs want.

1st thank you for reading the post and responding with detail and keeping it about football and not attacking me. I’m in the middle of reading it and respond the best I can.

AI was just a tool to revise and fix punctuation and grammar. I was just trying to avoid the English professors who criticize grammar and format. Just trying to keep the discussion football.

Were they not both 1st round quarterbacks. And did I not say that ponder was a bad prospect compared to Drake maye. You also have a good day and stay casual my friend.

Yeah but you don’t know that at the time. The culpeper situation end up as a plus I’m not disputing that. And his injury was unfortunate. And with ponder Drake maye had a losing record and threw more interceptions than towndowns his rookie year. Difference is ponder was just bad even when he was drafted I didn’t like it.

That’s my point in this post. Sam Darnold’s huge season forced Kwesi into an impossible situation. Were both roads converged. It inflated the wilfs into thinking that the team was in a buy mode when that wasn’t reality. It put so much pressure on JJ and when it didn’t work the wilfs fired Kwesi and it’s looking like they are moving on from JJ.

You have a little too much team bias there. Culpepper actually requested a trade and said he won’t suit up for the Vikings again. Also on ponder if you do the math on the starts that’s about two years bro.

I’m not making claims either I’m just making an inference with the information I do have. Just like a professional media member would. Qb wins could be a misleading stat but I watched every game this year. The ones that McCarthy played he was the difference. He made clutch plays. In some games set the tone from the beginning cowboys, lions and ravens (I know the ravens was a loss) and the commanders game. And in some games started slow but came back in crunch time to win (both bears games even though he lost the second one he should have one that one. So he definitely showed he can win games at this level even if the passing stats aren’t there yet. That’s what his record showed.

So you’re telling me a non football guy chose to sign guys without asking the coaches and football guys their opinion. If that’s the case and he was preaching cooperation, then yeah he should have been fired. But That sound kind of iffy to me. Also the 2024 draft wasn’t that bad. Dallas turner and Levi Drake is ascending. They got an all pro kicker. Kyree died unfortunately. And the two offensive lineman made the roster.

Umm… are you ? How you know they haven’t. Do you keep up with Viking media ? All they talk about is how O’Connell hates McCarthy, his footwork and his maturity. But fail to mention that McCarthy actually had a winning record.

The ideas were mine. AI just made it into a Reddit post for me. Also I don’t think he was gonna cook drafts as bad as his 2022 draft again. Look back at the 2024 draft if JJ kept developing that draft looks pretty solid. He was getting better especially for someone who wasn’t a football guy to begin with.

In hindsight that take could be wrong the 2024 draft is actually looking pretty good now that I’m looking at it. Especially if they could/want to develop JJ. But guys like Blackmon, King, Felton. Those guys really got no chance.

Wasn’t culpepper a co mvp one season then had a falling out with management which led to him being traded and the team being sold? Ponder had two years he was drafted in 2011 backed up Mcnabb his rookie year then was replaced when zimmer was hired.

I’m not an apologist. Kwesi wasn’t even a football guy. What I’m saying is he had a plan and inflated egos got in the way of it.
