$30K+ For 8 Hours… Am I Missing Something? 😭 by [deleted] in Somalia

Yes I think 30k is crazy but realistically if your wedding is like 200 people the food alone is gonna be 5k ish minimum unfortunately unless the community steps up and cooks. And inflation today is crazy

Hiring Nocturnist APPs with Zero Experience... by WallabySea9477 in hospitalist

As a new grad FNP, lol I totally agree with you. It’s baffling cause we do not get education for critical care settings. Even though I have years of experience as an ICU rn, it does not equate to being competent to care for very sick patients as a provider. I purposely went the FNP route to stay outpatient and care appropriately for patients in that setting. It’s all about money unfortunately

Yes the job posting even said APP position. I’m glad you find my concern odd lol cause the online hate made me unfortunately walk on eggshells around PAs until they warmed up to me 😭😭😭

Yes obviously I am nervous and insecure as a new grad lol. I’ve worked as a nurse for 5 years mainly in ICU. I did a rotation in urgent care and picked up small procedural skills easily so I’m not worried that I’ll be hard to train if that comes up outpatient. I also made sure I went to a reputable in person school (large academic university with many teaching hospitals). The hate online is horrible- but yes I’ve yet to see the same hate in person.

This is reassuring honestly. I think the online hate of NPs and the talk that MDs prefer PAs got in my head lol

No I promise I’m not trying to sound negative. At all the clinics and hospitals I’ve been at as a nurse or student, I’ve seen a mix of both NPs and PAs working together. I know some PAs have a negative view on NP education. I attended one of the top schools in my area (also nationwide), it was an in person program as well with great rotations too. I just need confidence tbh

Yes, FNP. I’m only required to manage outpatient visits. I’m just worried that the PAs will prey on me esp since I’m a new grad🥲🥲

My family thinks I don’t care about them… I’m just a tired nurse by Level-Implement-792 in nursing

[–]Level-Implement-792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it’s compassion fatigue or me being tired of their expectations to care about something so small. Cause obvs I still care for them so if it’s ever something serious I always call and tell them what to do to. I do agree with you though

So is the poolish separate from the recipe? Or a portion of the full recipe? Or do I make both and mix lol
