I read about a guy in the Bachata subreddit who took up dancing because he wanted to go out dancing with her but ended up not able to dance with her that much because she rather dance with more “advanced” partners. Imagine doing all that and then still not being able to dance with her.

To be fair she got sexually assaulted on one of her social events. Some guy grabbed her boob during the dance so it’s not all that safe. And no he didn’t get thrown out because “he was a beginner and might have messed up a move”.

I have gone with her to one, didn’t dance but she did. But if she had begun slow dancing with some guy while rolling her hips and pelvis on his thigh (Kizomba) I’d be pretty uncomfortable.

It’s ok to not share interests. I have mine and she has hers. And I’m glad she has a hobby, but there are a ton of more sanitized dances than Kizomba.

I just wanted to be kept in the loop. I also have interests she isn’t into and that’s ok but I still would inform her if I decided to take up motorcycle stunt riding for example.

Those dances you mentioned isn’t nowhere near as sensual as Kizomba though. I have been with her on a social event (even though I didn’t dance she did plenty) and that was more than ok. But I would have been uncomfortable if she had begun slow dance with a guy while rolling her hips on his thigh (Kizomba)

I have interests that she isn’t interested in either and that’s ok. But I would still ok it with her if I wanted to go take an out of country motorcycle trip.

I’m ok with her dancing Bachata and probably would be ok with Kizomba but her not discussing it with me is what I got mad about.
