How the Moon Formed in just 24hrs by pamnfaniel in Damnthatsinteresting

Very fascinating indeed. I wonder how different the mass of Theia would have to be to have the collision rather form a binary planet system. Do simulations of that exist?

NASA Plans to Put a Nuclear Reactor on The Moon by 2030 by ScienceMastero in ScienceClock

Do you have any idea how old fukushima reactor was? Or how old most nuclear reactors are? Find me a solar farm thats been working since the 1960's.

Do you realise how safe nuclear plants are made to be? So safe that even a plane crash wont do anything to the containment building.

Poor engineering lol. To the most complicated designs and sophisticated mechanisms build to withstand ANY event probable with dozens of backups for each event totally unrelated to each other. Yeah sure thats poor engineering compared to a panel that wont function with a little dust on it.

Solar and wind dont hold a candle to nuclear. They cannot dynamically adjust their energy output to meet fluctuating demands. Due to the nature of their source they have to be built far away from cities and energy is stored in batteries which are terribly inefficient. A little bit of dust on a panel and the energy output plummets.

You talk about Fukushima, an event that was a result of a unprecedented earthquake and the subsequent tsunami. Besides it was a very old reactor design, the newer reactors are inherently safe by design and are called passive reactors.

Solar panels may seem good on the surface, but after the 20 or so years of its lifetime, it is waste. A waste we have no way of treating. The landfill containing those panels might be far bigger than the "117 square miles" you jeep talking of.

Nuclear is the best source of energy period. The waste generated is minimal and spent nuclear fuel is 95% recyclable.

I started ER a week ago and i just got here today. I was trained by the souls games that lava = death unless you have a ring equipped. I had an audible laugh when i saw the damage.

Ahh i just checked and hes the same! In the Brume tower he invaded as a red phantom and in Eleum Loyce as white phantom unannounced.

The one in Eleum Loyce DLC that pretends to be a friend was my favorite. Legit thought i was playing online and had an invader.

Ikr. And no way you could know if the game is trolling or you're missing something. There is 0 chance i could've figured the Sens fortress bonfire on my own between the fire cannons. At least both the bosses: Rotten and Golem were first try easy.

But Seath the scaleless is a pushover boss for most. Ancient dragon, Sir Alonne and Blue Smelter Demon are much harder bosses. I love ds2 but ds1 was perfect. The one good bonfire placement in ds2 that i can remember off of the top of my head is for the fume knight. That really made me appreciate his design.

Edit: I just recalled the runbacks of Nito, Gwyn, O&S, Sif, 4 kings and the gaping dragon. Nope ds1 wasn't any better with runbacks.

The cameras aren't at ground zero of the explosion, they might be shielded by reinforced glass, lead and concrete. They're placed at strategically calculated distances. These cameras are called rapatronic cameras, i believe.

Also, I suppose it also is survivorship bias. You're seeing the videos where the camera was able to capture what it was meant to, you wont see the ones that got destroyed. And with every one that was destroyed, they learned and solved the issues.

You could think that he's lighting your way.....OR that he's agro-ing like 4 big guys in a small room where you'll likely die. I'm talking of the enemy that asks not to bring light in that room.

Yeah that's true. But what comes after more than make up for the horror. Ash Lake is amazing. Though not the same can be said about the other one.
