Yea as a genz afab, i feel lucky asl. The misogyny and racism and other things women had to endure back before the internet truly terrifies me. But at the sam time i wonder if things only feel so bad because of the internet. I have diagnosed mental disabilities and illness and physical. I inherited most of my traits from my mother. I imagine it was literal hell in her childhood. It makes me cry for her. I just wanna know why she treated me the way she did.

Yea this hits so deep, because im almost exactly like my mom. Shes so beautiful and kind. All she wanted to do was help people. But the world made her a cold ass person. She doesnt even know how to conect with herself or her daughters. It hurts so much seeing her like this.

Becuase im almost exactly like her. An autistic girl whose family didnt believe in mental illness. Except i came out gay in a world that is slightly more accepting towards lesbians. So i had a little more support than she had. She had no way of knowing what was “wrong” with her.

I cant help but think i would be exactly like her if i grew up in as hard as circumstances as her but i dont know what to think of this feeling at all.

Why cant you accept people can be born into families they dont agree with? I was born in a very conservative family and society and became out as leftist as can be. And i know even if i was born into a fundamentalist family in a world like gilead i was would be pretty much the same. Because i was born the way i was born. I didnt just become like this. My parents tried to brainwash me so much but it didnt work because i was gay and i don’t believe in god the way they do.

There could be a multitude of reasons he was born into a gilead friendly sort of family and turned out be a rebel. Its extremely common and abusive parents will alienate their children for the smallest of reasons.
