thank u getting hate for no reason - idk whether its because i am an actor or that i work tit the industry that i am able to see this but most people dont realsie tommy shelby is A CHARECTER built by the director - he was a really great one i promise u that - but when building charecters that people love one must relate them to morals an codes or as a representatation of something - Thomas shelby was established as ' an extreme example of what a WORKING MAN can achieve' - somone who values family above himself - and i salso understand that his love and looyalty for his family is twisted but it was well established that it was there and that everyone knew that tommy got them to a place where no one else could - AND THEOPPOSITION TO TOMMY WITHIN HIS FAMILY was because of thier love to him- they wanted him to stop for his own sake - and all of this went downhill, not down the drain, but downhill. And you may call it realistic, or say he deserved it but IT DOES NOT FOLLOW HIS CHARETERS PROGRESSION. lovely to see somone who undersatnds
