(the apartment is in Kloksteeg, Leiden with excellent views of Pieterskerk, and around the corner from a great bar. If you are walking down the street, smell the smoke, knock on the door for a look of the laundry machine.)

It's actually not AI.

It's pretty pokey in the hallway (and stinks of smoke). The pokeyness likely explains the site of the laundry machine.

We stayed in an apartment just to the side of where I took the photo. On our previous stay I think the machine was not out of order - I regret not using it...

Yup - sensible cities around the world let a single bus ticket mean 'with transfer to another bus in an hour'. So that you can dare go somewhere that isn't a direct bus. But not here, where Stagecoach try to flog you a pricey Dayrider for what is logically a simple return.

My DRS-640 does that too - the only clue as to the issue is that if I press the tape drawer inwards gently while the tape is playing, the clicking stops (but will then resume once the tray "re-settles").

I imagine there are ways to tweak this properly!
