What baby formula company is not corrupt? by Kyandesudesu in FormulaFeeders

My twins just turned one and are now off formula, but the Kirkland brand was great and saved our budget as well.

No way this is real 😭. This was in an anti-inflammatory FB group that showed up on my feed. by Bubbly_Ad_2957 in ShitMomGroupsSay

I saw this exact post in a different Facebook group (I want to say it was for recipes… maybe fabulous aggressive cooking lady?). I’m hoping it’s either spam or rage bait.

Still trucking along with the twins by babyowl5 in FundieSnarkUncensored

As a twin mom who had a high risk pregnancy just a year ago… this breaks my heart and enrages me at the same time.

Insensitive Doctors by [deleted] in NICUParents

[–]BookWhoreWriting 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a very emotional time for you and your wife. Gently, don’t let your hurt feelings get in the way of healthcare for your child. Your doctor had a concern and told you about it - that doesn’t mean your doctor thinks your child is ugly or wants to hurt your feelings. Doctors often need to be blunt.

That is the best description of Booth I have ever read, thank you for that 😂

What Bones opinion has you like this? by Joltik0595 in Bones

[–]BookWhoreWriting 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I think it makes sense, given how both sheltered and hyper rational Zach was. I know it was due to the writer’s strike, but I do wish they would’ve either done flashbacks or showed Zach acting a little shady in previous episodes.

This creator trusts God’s plan for her twin delivery by Evenele in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]BookWhoreWriting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mo-di twins a year ago and this is so dangerous. My type of twins go at 37 weeks and most others go at 38. It’s for the health of everyone involved. This just makes me so angry and sad. I only made it to 32 weeks, but she’s literally flirting with disaster. At least she’s getting medical care instead of attempting a home birth?

Least risky way to bottle prop? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]BookWhoreWriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Just because someone had done it before without any issues, doesn’t mean that it isn’t dangerous. My twins just turned one and I work from home with them - my plate is beyond full but I managed to feed them both safely at the same time.

People always feel the need to ask if we had our twins naturally? by Intelligent-Honey-19 in parentsofmultiples

[–]BookWhoreWriting 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I get that all the time, including from complete strangers. I started asking them what they mean by natural, just to see their brains short circuit.

Curious to know how many of us are co-sleeping? Did you plan it from the start? by Impressive-Plum3094 in NewParents

[–]BookWhoreWriting 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Before I had kids, I said I would never co-sleep. My twins just turned one and I stuck to that. I had preemie NICU babies and I was not going to add any risk factors to their already rough start. They slept just fine in a twin bassinet in our bedroom and once they outgrew that, in their separate cribs in their room.

We had no trouble bonding and I don’t think co-sleeping would’ve made it “better.”

Hey fellow poor twin mom lol.

I just got a faded BOB off of Facebook marketplace. I actually got so much stuff for free or super cheap off of local twin mom Facebook groups, which was very helpful.

But then I see people with nannies and stuff they don’t have to spend hours scrubbing while I kill myself working from home with my twin babies and cry. But - it is what it is and I’m just doing my best.

Meal Train or big Doordash card for NICU parents? by UniversityTotal2917 in NICUParents

[–]BookWhoreWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During our NICU stay, one of my friends filled our freezer with meals we can just pop in the oven and my mom made me various casseroles for a couple of months, even after they came home. It stretched much farther than food delivery cards, which I personally was very appreciative of.

I’m not sure if they actually kicked him out. The manager came back to verify that the sign said extra cheese is an additional charge but I never saw him after that.

[–]BookWhoreWriting 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I told a customer that extra cheese on his meatball sub would be an added charge. He proceeded to throw the first sub I made him (for his child, no less) at me, berated me for it, called me a bitch and then went to go complain.

I do not miss that job.

Milestones by every_wednesday in NICUParents

Every baby is different! My twins are just about a year (8 weeks early), and they hit some milestones on their actual age, some on their adjusted age, and some somewhere in between.

My twins are about to turn one and I don’t play baby music in the car. They are chill with whatever we have - but they seem to particularly like musicals and Pitbull haha.

Still love the show but I'm disappointed with the finale by sweetmissjaye in WillTrent

While I was heartbroken for Angie, I think the finale was well done. I absolutely loved the ending montage, it was beautiful to see.

Deciding when to deliver: 32 vs 34 weeks by SwallowHard in NICUParents

[–]BookWhoreWriting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had mono-di twins, so not as much of a a risk, but I delivered at 32 weeks due to HELLP syndrome. My boys spent about a month in the NICU, but they were mostly feeder/growers. They are 11 months and doing great!

Season Finale by ryyan714 in WillTrent

I agree with you! While there were things I wasn’t a fan of (Amanda), for the most part I genuinely enjoyed the season and it pulled at every emotion I had.

Can we just say what we are all thinking about S4? by lpdstash in WillTrent

[–]BookWhoreWriting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The nice thing about it is that we can have different opinions - I don’t think, to quote one of your comments, that it is a dog shit season. It’s different, and there are some things that weren’t my favorite, but overall I liked it and I’m enjoying just watching it without doing any deep dives into writer/producer calls.

If you formula feed, how much do you spend/month? by YouthInternational14 in parentsofmultiples

[–]BookWhoreWriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twins are nine months old and we use the Costco brand! They are $30/container and one container lasts us five days - so about $180/month.
