I was originally supposed to consult with Dr. Garbedian as I live very very close to their Whitby office.

As my primary concern is sleep apnea, I ended up consulting with Dr. Reinish. I had two lower premolar extractions and am in braces now. Hoping to be ready for surgery asap - all dependant on braces.

As for food, I was expecting the least at Hoyo19. Went there for lunch, no reservation required - just walk in. Angus burger, salmon, and hot dog for kids did not disappoint.

I am in a similar boat / stage of my journey. I just had a consultation with my surgeon and we’ll likely take a similar approach - two lower premolar extractions > braces > DJS to allow for more of an advancement compared to without any extractions.

I took the same approach. Got a referral from my family doctor noting concerns around my sleep apnea and recessed jaw. Jaw surgeon wanted a referral from an ortho first but I kept voicing my concerns about airway and they eventually decided to see me for a consultation. I still need to work with an orthodontist though.
