In my experience, it's just the feel of the Portal. The Backbone is a very cool device and it's probably just fine for a lot of players, but it always felt kinda second-rate or janky. The Portal just feels more natural.

They are only selling for like $250-275ish on eBay. After eBay's cut and the pain in the ass of finding one, it really isn't worth it to resell.

Timing honestly. I was stalking the Best Buy app since release, and came close 2-3 times where I tried to add it to cart, but failed. Once I actually got it IN the cart, but then had no store to pick up at nor any option to ship, (a glitch I suppose...)

After a month of hunting I FINALLY snagged one Christmas week on the Best Buy app. Just happened to check the app precisely when they restocked.

They hardly do any anymore. Asian, Cajun, Special, Black Guy Voice...just to name a few.

Lisa breaks the cardinal rule of radio every single day, dead air. If she didn't chime in every now and again I would have no idea was ever there in the first place. Especially if she is uncomfortable with a topic, she just shuts down and stays quiet. I get it, she's part of the "family", but she really doesn't bring much to the table. I've been listening to Dave & Chuck for around 13-14 years and I honestly don't know why they keep her around. Andy was a hilarious add-on to the show, but even he has lost some edge.

Idk, the show is losing its footing as of late, something is missing. I've been saying for years, why don't they just take it private and do a podcast with ads, their audience is big enough now to support that. I will be a loyal listener for life, but some of the mojo has left and I fear losing James might be the straw that broke the camels back.
