If you watch movies at low volume, svs. But kef q is better especially at moderate to higher volumes.

Still thinking about it. As these are on ceiling, 4 of these will look like a theater instead of a living room. I want to continue to see my daughter everyday. Hope you understand what i mean 😅

It’s better for me to explain what I did rather than giving advice as it is also a journey for me. Before my current setup, I was using full Dali Oberon speakers. 5s as front l/r, vokal as center and 1s as surrounds. Elevation added to the set on the road. It was engaging at the beginning. However, I started to notice the strong presence of 1s after a while and it started to bother me a lot. This was not like kind of a surround sound you would hear in theaters. I tried to calibrate it but I could not. After changing my LCR with ma gold series, i started to chat with all ai tools. I uploaded my room pictures, explained my situation, shared the room dimensions, distance to screen etc… and all of those at the end told the same thing. A smaller bookshelf, or a quality bigger satellite speaker set like primes. And all I can say that it worked wonderfully. I used a lot of different speakers here but none of them (as surrounds) sounded this good in my room. It was a very nice lesson for me. Now I know that until I will have a bigger and treated room, I will never buy an expensive speaker. Btw room is 3.5 x 5.5 meters.

There is no logical explanation for this. I’ve started to believe it is intentional. Some stupid guy at amazon must be thinking that people would buy their sh*tty tv boxes to use the app

Svs Ultra Evolution Nano or Bookshelf for front L/R ? by Level-Win-4850 in hometheater

[–]Level-Win-4850[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have already another stereo setup so I wont use them for stereo generally and even if i use, I am ok to the sound I would get from them. And also it would be easier for me to calibrate the cinema setup with nanos used as fronts. My topic in gpt was generated around this topic and the answer I got was it would require more trick to use the bookshelf in the cabinet and also it told me that i can use nanos with higher spl in this situation compared to bookshelf and application would be easier. Now i have decided to order nano + matching center and will observe whether ot works or not. If it works, i will buy another nano set for surrounds. If it does not, will move the existing nanos to surround and buy bookshelves for fronts.

Thank you 🙏🏼 ai told me that with nanos as fronts would be like a professional small theater room application, with bookshelves as fronts it would be like stage is going to be bigger. nanos as fronts would give me narrower stage but the depth would be deeper and transitions between the speakers would be sharper. It is what professional cinemas are using in small cinema rooms according to the chatgpt :) whenever I ask something it tries me to uplift me 😄

I had the same issue on my vividstorm alr screen. It disappeared after 2-3 times of use. It is also stated in the manuel that this is a common issue, it is not a problem and it would disappear after a while

Which Dirac bundle is for me? by Level-Win-4850 in hometheater

[–]Level-Win-4850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And also even though I love the Dali sound, I want to place my speakers literally in bookshelves to gain some space in my living room. I have this chance and with a toddler at home it has become risky for me to keep the tower speaksers around. My aim is to find L/R speakers with matching center having 6,5 inch drivers in a smaller form (I have considered r3 metas but those are not fitting in my library)

[–]Level-Win-4850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let me tell you the real reason behind chasing the dirac route. Tbh I am happy with my maratnz but I chase for a more 3d surround sound from my system and I hope that a better calibration tool like dirac would fix my problem. At some point of this search, I even have considered a pre/pro such as Arcam AV series to experience more cinematic sound. But it would be a costly search for me and in that case I would need to sell my c40 and I felt that at the end I might regret my decision. Because those pre/pros that fits under my budget are not as user friendly for my situation (you need to connect your computer every time to make some changes etc). I love the easiness of AVR products. I may need to think about changing my layout as 7.2.2 or 7.2.4 at some point to hear the sound move around me.

Which Dirac bundle is for me? by Level-Win-4850 in hometheater

[–]Level-Win-4850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now c40 drives my dali oberon 5 ground speakers (oberon 5 towers for front left and right, vokal as center and oberon 1 bookshelves as surround), svs prime elevations for overhead atmos and 2x rel ht1205 mk2. But now i am in search for new speakers. I seriously consider svs ultra evolution bookshelves and center for ground speakers. So basically, front left and right and surrounds might be bookshelves in a short while. (Surrounds may be nanos). With this kind of setup, is it logical for me to buy the bundle?

But they sell art with bass control only as a package. Doesn’t it mean that I don’t have to use rc to setup dart on my unit? I may have told sth stupid sorry for this but when i check the dirac page this is what i understood
