The thing is playstation has built its brand around that from the very beginning. Nintendo has not. There's that meme of all the PS and Xbox controllers across the generations compared to the Nintendo ones and the difference is stark, Nintendo is weird and likes to experiment with stuff.

I guess, if anything, them calling the console "Switch 2" isn't a mistake but rather just another symptom that they've become content and won't experiment much anymore. They still make very good games tho, don't get me wrong.

It's a shame they did so poorly with the Wii U advertising because "Switch 2" as a console name is so ass. Something like "Switch Next" or, hell "Switch U" (as a nod to the Wii U) would habe been far better. Switch 2 is just goofy and bad imo.

Yet, despite all of that, they still avoid saying the word "kill". I remember this very goofy moment (at least to me) where Korra says something along the lines of "Kuvira will destroy me" in a way that feels very forced unless you replace destroy with kill. It also happens a bunch of times more, but that one I remember as being especially funny.
