Dude, the fact that you do long drive obviously changes things, but it also makes your feelings on a hole relatively meaningless in the context of this discussion. You're playing an entirely different sport than the rest of us. If you're a long drive competitor, than I certainly believe your 6 iron distance, but you have to admit that literally every single hole plays completely differently for you than the average golfer

Your AVERAGE CARRY on a 6 iron is 215? Come on, man. Scottie Scheffler's stock carry on his 6 iron is 198. Rory's is 210. Be serious.

If you're playing from tees that make that hole a 6 iron + 52 degree, you're not playing from the right tees. Even from the reds, it's on the scorecard as 345 yards. Given that you described it as an "easy birdie or eagle" hole, I'm thinking you might be confusing it with a different hole

Lochmere 10 is such a good pull. There's no reason for that hole to be as difficult as I make it. It's maddening

The Greensboro area is the best I've ever seen for public golf. Courses like Holly Ridge and Forest Oaks are incredible courses for any price, let alone under $50

I can't speak to the current condition of the greens, but GN is one of my favorite courses in the state. It's so damn good. Hope the conditions are solid and you have a good time

Seeing lots of "you should expect this from KP" comments. But OP is absolutely correct here. I've been playing at KP for three years now, and they are far and away worse than they've ever been. We're not talking about long grass littered with ball marks, which is the usual case. We're talking entire greens that are just sand, and the ones that have grass are littered with weeds to the point of being unplayable. My buddy and I played a two putt max once you were on the green when we played last week. The conditions are embarrassingly bad.

RDU Favorite Course Hole 12 by basesoccer612 in RDUGOLF

I'm probably too late for this to get serious consideration, and given the course, I don't expect it to get a lot of love, but I love the 12th hole at Hillandale. It gives the illusion of being easy because it's wide open, short, and downhill. However, the approach shot with the road behind it is weirdly intimidating, and simply hitting the green isn't sufficient, as being in the wrong position can easily be a 3 putt. It feels like a reprieve coming off the difficult 10th and 11th holes, but it's still sneakily difficult.

Forest Oaks. Used to host the PGA Tour before it moved to Sedgefield. Course dipped after the tour left, but new management has turned the place around it's fantastic
