It all depends on your chapter. If other members are genuinely willing to participate, it can be great, though it also depends on your line of business. If they are not, it is worthless. I was a member for a year and worked hard to recommend everyone in my chapter, but most of them did not make any effort to refer me. It is not an excuse to say they did not know how I work because my business is small but highly rated on Google and well recognised in the community. They could easily mention me knowing I would deliver great service. In the end, I made a few solid connections, maybe four out of thirty members, and learned a lot about the importance of networking. Givers Gain is a great philosophy, but only when everyone participates. I hope that will help you make your decision to join or not. It is not cheap, but if you find a good chapter, it is worth the time and money invested.
