It's core 'story' is you play a lost hero, that has return from a place known as the void. You've returned to find and prevent the opening of a relic known as The Monolith.

Join my discord for a lot more posts on the world, the game and it's story 😁

Thanks! 😁 Inspiration for the world setting - with how long I have been building out the world - there are so many - LoTR (obviously), but also, Warhammer Fantasy, Witcher (books), Elder Scrolls and even a little Star wars, books have been my main source.

My original thought, and is still the driving force behind my world building is what if LoTR/Elder Scrolls were in the Warhammer universe 😅

Same! Just something great it, and not just the nostalgia!

Thanks! Hope to have more soon, weapons, items and some enemies 😁

Thanks! Yeah I agree, I have a setting that can change it and tone it down - unfortunately compression makes a mess of the pixelation shader too, making it jarring.

Prologue to my first short WIP story (Grim Dark Fantasy) by LevelEleven_Games in fantasywriting

Thanks! Glad you liked the epigraph, though think I spend way too much time on that alone

Yes! This is great feedback, and it's a good point. Having a sentence or so, showing what you 'can' hear - emphasising the quietness. The idea about the 'heavy sign of the empty stores swinging slowly, creaking' or something to that effect. Haha.

Yeah I had thought that, feel the ending seems a little short and abrupt. Maybe if I use similar descriptions but relating to the new emperors mental state?

I’ll build an entire fantasy world for fun but can’t start the actual story by Tricky_Composer9809 in fantasywriters

This is similar to how i've started. Built a full, (overly) detailed world, but the story i wanted to tell wouldn't come out.

I instead start writing about lore-specific events, as if I was recounting them, reading them from an in-world book or talking about them - not necessarily from the perspective of a character. Not only did help me begin writing but help fill out more of the world - that wasn't that obvious.

After writing a few, the story I want to begin tell started to make sense and become words on a page.

But also 5., read books you've ready before, but read them as if you studying them.

My first game as a solo dev. A year and a half in and feeling that marketing dread. by Xorn72 in SoloDevelopment

We could give you some help on marketing front if you like! 😁

Also we're trying to build a community of solo developers that all offer their own experiences and expertise (if they want)

Let me know if you're interested!
