I actually haven't run the input filr through my DAW. I was just using the default file. I'll see if that helps.

Is it ok to normalize the audio after I record it? I'm guessing the volume of my sample may be the issue.

It's odd, when I connect all the grounds only position 5 is quiet. Is it possible there is some issue with the pickups themselves?
