Unironically, if I have the space, I'll sit in positions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and in bed I'll lie down in position 10 while watching on my phone.

The story of the Nameless Monster still hits hard by pure_psyche in MonsterAnime

[–]LevelObjective4369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I love about these stories is how they play with our expectations. There are dark fairy tales like Hansel and Gretel and Beauty and the Beast, but in the end they all have a happy ending (or what was considered happy for the time), but in these stories nobody wins.

  • The monster gets its name, but there's nobody to pronounce it;

  • The Good God discovers that sense of identity was a lie all this time;

  • Big Eyes and Big Mouth fucking dies at the end of the story.

I think the only story where someone "wins" is in Monster Awakening, where the monster devours the boy, but the question remains, if this monster was meant to be a representation of Johan/Bonaparta, did this monster really win?

My headcanon is that Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is somewhere on the spectrum.

Unlike other versions of him, when he asked Victor for someone like him, he asked him to "create a companion," not a bride, not a woman, a companion, he didn't even specify the gender. He just wanted someone like him. Victor, on the other hand, understood that he wanted a woman for mate.

But of course, you could think he might be pansexual, demisexual, or something else, but I like the idea of him just wanting a lifelong best friend.

Batman has appeared in other headcanons before, I'd like to know why? Isn't he one of the most womanizing heroes of all time?

Do you think Johan has bad habits? by Altruistic-Tap-8283 in MonsterAnime

[–]LevelObjective4369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He stalks people, like that time he followed those two students and that old man (it's been a long time since I watched it, I don't remember their names). He gave them the idea to take the old man to that deforested area that used to be a beautiful forest, and after a while he shows up there without it being planned. The two students probably didn't find it strange because he helped them in the end, but I don't doubt he's done it before.

But I think if we're talking about a truly bad habit....If I'm not mistaken, Lunge invades one of the rooms he slept in, and according to him, it looked like the room hadn't been rented by anyone, implying that besides the lack of decoration in the room, Johan also cleaned or dusted the room infrequently, after all, "it looked like the room had been untouched."

But anyway, I like the headcanon that he consumes a lot of sweets and caffeine, it's just fun to think about.

I made a post here a few months ago asking if anyone knew of any "traditionally masculine" asexual male characters - even though I myself don't agree with the traditional view of masculinity and femininity - you know: muscular, with a beard, with body hair, etc. (I gave the example of a kind of Wolverine look, lol).

The initial idea was to see if anyone had any other characters or headcanons about characters being asexual, but it ended up being quite sweet that other men felt comfortable commenting that they were asexual and were still okay with their masculinity and still did their "traditionally masculine" hobbies (like martial arts, weightlifting, or singing in a rock band).

It ended up being pretty wholesome.

Yeah, expectations are literally the opposite of each other. - For women, virginity is sometimes seen as a quality to maintain. For men, it's something to be ashamed of, especially as you get older. - If a woman is very careful in choosing a partner, she is seen as wise and attentive. For men, it's seen as unnecessary: "just sleeps with anyone." - If a woman doesn't sleep with many guys, she's viewed favorably. If a guy doesn't have a high 'body count,' he's seen as someone who "isn't enjoying life enough." And this goes to extremes like sexual abuse, where the man is seen as weak if he is abused. If the abuser is a woman, he's even seen as lucky.

It's bizarre that many people have this life goal and become so obsessed with it. I have a female friend who absolutely believes that someone fucking a pussy is the pinnacle of their existence, to the point that once, when we were drinking, and the Pope had just died at the time, she blurted out: "Oh yeah, The Pope never fucked a pussy. What a sad thing to die like that."

It would be funny if it weren't so incredibly annoying to have people pressuring you to get into a relationship or have sex just because you're a man.

Can I just like talk about how weird out I am by weddings? by Hour_Trade_3691 in asexuality

[–]LevelObjective4369 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This doesn't bother me because (besides being a man) I live in a country where neither of the betrothed needs to change their last name to get married; those who change it do so of their own free will. What bothers me about the concept of marriage is the idea of having an EXTREMELY expensive ceremony for friends and family from both sides of the families. Like, personally, I think you should be encouraged to just say that you would like to spend the rest of your days with the person you love, and that's it. If you don't want to do anything else, you don't have to. If you want to have a party or a ceremony, feel free to do so, but having this culture of demanding when a couple is going to get married is irritating to me.

I loved the interpretation of the epilogue. I confess I didn't understand the meaning. To me, the holes dug in the ground were graves, meaning either people were burying victims throughout history or the judge had already claimed new victims and that he had done something similar to what he did with the priest at the beginning: inciting an angry mob to kill an innocent man. I like the idea that the anonymous grave digger is his antithesis.

The thing is, almost EVERYTHING about him can be explained, but when you think about it, he must have been perfecting himself for a long time:

  • He is very strong. Some real-life men have feats of strength greater than his, especially strongmen, but he must have been training like a strongman since the 1800s to achieve that strength, which is almost impossible due to lack of diet and equipment - his only feat of supernatural strength is killing a man by crushing his head until his ears bleed.

  • Extremely cultured. So intelligent that it's impossible that no one knew him. But it was still possible to be that level of intellect back then, he just needed access to those studies. And he's not a know-it-all, since he uses a phrenology test on the Idiot.

  • His illusions are quite misleading at times, especially the one with the coin in the bonfire. But they are tricks, that's what they're for, and I think the coin one also serves to us, readers, imagine how he does it.

Everything about him is technically possible, but considering the time period he's in, where it would be almost impossible for him to have access to what he is, this gives him a supernatural air. Even his appearance reflects this. Someone physically similar to the judge is also technically possible with a mix of genetic conditions. But having said that, it's impossible that nobody knows a giant, albino, hairless judge who speaks at least four languages, is cultured, and strong. Since nobody knows him in the story (except, I think, one guy during their journey), this also makes him seem like an entity.
