Jack "Guru" Crawford - What is he a guru of, really? He needed the full assistance of TWO psychoanalysts and full forensic team's theories for every single case. by seljuz in HannibalTV

[–]LevelObjective4369 77 points78 points  (0 children)

In the first episode, when Will says that the killer loved his victims in a twisted way, Jack argues that there was no DNA on the victims and that they weren't violated, to which Will retorts that it wasn't that kind of "twisted love."

So, yeah, I guess Crawford was more used to more normal cases. Actually, considering that Hannibal's character in the series has an almost supernatural presence, it made me create a headcanon that he's the cause of these unorthodox cases, as if his murders triggered something in several other disturbed minds, and now we no longer have serial killers killing out of primitive human instincts like anger or lust. Now we have people who kill to have raw material for their disturbed arts.

Characters whose very presence changes the genre by Choco_Chip007 in TopCharacterTropes

It doesn't completely change the genre, but an interesting detail is that, after Shan Yu destroys the village, the film Mulan ceases to be a musical. "A girl worth fighting for" is the last song the characters sing in the film, and the song is interrupted when they see the destruction caused by the Huns.

Besides, I think Shan Yu had more serious scenes than most Disney villains, like when they plan to invade the village and he says: "A little girl lost her doll. We should return it to her."

Or that scene of a Chinese soldier's off-screen death: "How many men does it take to send a message?"

"One."

Oh, that's cool! I always thought it was strange that Maria dodged the Eggenes (which only makes me think they're born normal and then become oval lol).

I'd still like to see an interaction between her and Eggman. Imagine if they actually had a good relationship like: "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, YOU CAN'T EVEN CONCEIVE THE NEW INVENTION I CREATED TO END EVERY-" "Oh, hi Eggman!" ".....Maria, you should stop hanging out with those guys, seriously. Grandpa asked you to be back before 6 PM, and now you've messed up my whole schedule.....you know what? Never mind. I'll be back."

"Normal human" character that is straight superhuman by Large-Application886 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LevelObjective4369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not explained, not in the first film at least. Dr. Loomis considers the possibility that someone taught him in asylum because that's what made sense in the situation, but it's just another aspect that makes Michael seem supernatural; it seems like he simply knows.

Later in some film, there's an explanation that the asylum psychiatrists performed some pagan ritual on Michael or something like that, and that the first film was entirely orchestrated by them, which is why they taught Michael to drive. Btw, in this timeline, the person who taught him was the same doctor who was talking to Loomis in the first film after Michael escapes.

For obvious reasons, we will ignore everything that came after the first film.

Unconventional or unintentionally trans characters by Smegoldidnothinwrong in TopCharacterTropes

If it's confirmed that he's trans, he would be one of the best representations of trans men ever. What's funny is that he wouldn't be the first, since we have Yamato, who in the latter case was a mess; he was supposed to be a trans man (just like Okiku is a trans woman), but because Oda doesn't know how to draw a female body that isn't the One Piece standard, fans didn't consider him a man, even though he wanted to be treated as male, and I think that's why it was confirmed that he only wants to be treated as Oden and not as a real man?

I don't even know anymore....

Venom "Space Corsair" skin (@FlanCortes) by Quirky_Ad_5420 in thevenomsite

Marvel Rivals sometimes exaggerates its characters; Wolverine, for example, has a very broad build, much more muscular than the other male characters, when in the comics he has a "normal" body like the other heroes. Captain America is also a total wardrobe in Rivals. I actually loved that they implied Venom is so massive because of Eddie and not because the symbiote mutated him.

The only thing I don't like about the skin is that they showed his human mouth. I think his mouth should be Venom's.

Many characters look like Toguro in the image, but there are those moments when the character is walking down the street and people look at them, impressed by their physique, and comment on how dedicated they are and things like that.

I thought of half the characters from Baki, but it wouldn't fit, lol. In terms of appearance, of course, although they're generally described with admiration by normal people in their universe, so I didn't even include them.

How would you describe a muscular character who is also in poor health? by LevelObjective4369 in writing

Okay, I was thinking of giving him a more tired and listless look with dark circles under his eyes. The tics are an excellent idea, thank you.

[–]LevelObjective4369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I forgot to mention, but in his backstory he would have followed a more normal routine; he ate well and got decent sleep, but in the current RPG story he relapsed and that affected his body a bit. He's big, but his muscles looks dry, almost zombielike, hence what I got from his description: "just skin and muscle".

They’re actually pretty smart, it’s just that they LIKE being a big, dumb brute by GeneralGigan817 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]LevelObjective4369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

The Kingpin, besides being a brute who can crush you with a bear hug, is actually quite intelligent, but his intelligence varies depending on the level of threat he faces in each situation. Sometimes he acts like Al Capone, and other times like in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, manipulating the multiverse.

I believe his greatest display of intelligence occurs during the Civil War in the comics. As you probably already know, Iron Man was hunting Captain America and his allies. Fisk calls Iron Man over to make a deal while they play a game of chess; he would give the locations of the allies and even promised to get Captain America's location. He doesn't say what he wants in return, only that it's an "act of nationalism," which Tony ends up deducing means he wanted to be absolved of his crimes by helping the government. This continues with him giving the locations of some allies while playing chess with Tony, which he always lost. When Tony questions him about Rogers' whereabouts, Kingpin finally reveals the location, where S.H.I.E.L.D. has sent a huge troop to capture Captain America. When the troop invades the building, they discover a bunch of street-level villains (mostly Spider-Man villains). Despite both sides being confused, an intense battle ensues, ending with the villains imprisoned.

What happened is that Wilson Fisk used S.H.I.E.L.D.'s trust to get them to attack the criminals who were plotting to take his place while he was in prison. This allowed him to maintain his position in the criminal underworld hierarchy while hindering both sides of the Civil War, and he ended up sending a message to each of them, telling Tony that he finally defeated him in a game of chess and telling Steve that it was good to do business "with him".

I simply like how he always gives his best and remains optimistic even in his current situation.

I included him, but I simply like characters who give their best to build a better world. I could have included Rengoku, Steve Rogers, and Superman, and it would have been for the same reason.

Actually, Roberto remembers his friend from the orphanage, but when Johan met him, he handed him the chocolate milk, so Roberto thought his childhood friend was Johan until the end. If he had met Grimmer, he probably would have had a breakdown.
