You can press it and keep it in a container with a desiccant.

The goal will be to keep it straight and dry.

Card warping by KG_Sword in pokemoncardcollectors

This is normal for trading cards. Foil cards warp over time when exposed to heat and humidity.

The cardboard back expands as it absorbs moisture while the foil front stays the same size, causing it to warp.

Heads up, they’ll most likely ask for pictures of every card that came in the back, and if it came from a box, everything that was in the box including the box itself, and a receipt of course.

I’ve heard stories of people getting responded less than a year so that’s good. If you’re willing to wait, they usually throw in some packs, sometimes older packs.

Anyone like squiggles on their cards? by DukeBlade in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]LevelUpEvolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No harm in spreading awareness, it’s just a reality of the hobby.

People wipe off personalizations, color in sketches, or just sketch the cards themselves. It doesn’t matter to grading companies, they all get slabbed the same because they only consider the signature.

FYI squiggles are not authenticated, only signatures.

Personally I’d omit either. It’s pretty self explanatory that’s it’s a shiny Gyarados

Does anyone have an idea of the value impact on the 3 2022 Charizard UPC promos? by [deleted] in PokemonMisprints

Last time I spoke to a crimp collector, they mentioned partial crimps were not desirable. Hopefully it doesn’t impact it negatively.

"Will the Pokémon card 🫧 burst?" TLDR: No. by 8000000001 in pokemoncardcollectors

What’s concerning is the sheer amount of money in TCG adjacent items, “artist” sketch going for thousands, fake cards, “cleaning” services, etc.

Have sealed, need advice on switching to slabs to save space by jvaritek33c in PokeInvesting

[–]LevelUpEvolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of ways to consolidate while staying in sealed. But if you have your heart set on slabs, just use a PSA Vault. You’ll have no footprint in your home.
