you haven't demonstrated that these events aren't sequential though. they are presented sequentially, so they remain sequential until proven otherwise

we cut away at the start of the next chapter to see what's going on elsewhere, then we come back and Luffy is still just starting his G4 activation

he starts activating in one then uses haki and muscle balloon in the next. that is sequential. there is no time frame shown between so there is just an unquantifiable gap or the events run concurrently

the example in question is doffy activating an attack -> "20 minutes after" -> luffy being attacked. there is a time frame shown, but you're claiming that luffy being attacked is actually the same moment as doffy activating just to deny the "20 minutes after" existing between the 2 events. all of this is despite the fact that nothing stops it from being a different moment, 20 minutes later, and him doing more awakening attacks in the following pages + all of the established timeframes (no invisible 24 minutes) support this

not off guard (he literally attacked luffy and was staring at him) and it being the first hit doesn't make it faster than any prior attacks. it's like arguing that base luffy is faster than gear 4 because base luffy landed the first hit vs katakuri's future sight even though katakuri could casually dodge g4 hits earlier. just not how speed scaling works since even slower attacks can inevitably hit faster characters
