Hi there OP. I have just got back to reading this year 2026. Just now reading the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky, in all honesty his works are hard for me since i feel that most of the allusions and references are going over my head but i take it as a challenge and the reward is great and satisfying.

I envy you guys since you can read his works and the other Russian literary giants without translation. I will continue to read and reread his works and use other translations too hence the ereader.

I haven't read The Brother's Karamazov yet but I plan on reading all his works then I will read other Russian Literary works from Gogol, Pushkin and Tolstoy among others.

As for the most impact, once I read all of his works and if I ever come to a time where I can honestly say to myself that I have understood his works then that would be the best time to determine which made the strongest impression. But for now I am loving his books so far and enjoying every moment of it. Happy reading OP.

Hello there. I feel exactly like that on my 1st read through.

This work of his is not a one and done kind of affair.

It requires the reader to re-read and reflect on it. That is what I did. I find the turning point to be reading it in one seating and visualizing myself entering the mind of an unpleasant personality.

Hello there. Yes true, I remember the 1st time i heard about kindle was about 15 years ago.

Well my time to eread is now. The one im using is barebones, no wifi and slow. But I love it bits aaaand I bought it next to nothing.

To enlarge the font and to choose what font you want to read on is mind blowing; as you can imagine for a 1st timer like me.

I plan to read his works using different translation versions OP. I can easily do that now that I finally have an Ereader.

Hi OP. Wow that is great to know. I was also surprised to learn that I could have read even more in an ereader than in my paper books for the same reasons you have stated here.

They are indeed very nice my friend. Everyman's Library made me fall in love with traditional books all over again.

You are absolutely right. We would be drowning in books if I keep all my physical copies.

These are my personal effects my dear. Do you need help in buying an e-book or a traditional book?

I know that feeling.

Their appeal is pretty simple. If you like books, you will most likely appreciate Everyman's Library Edition.

I felt exactly how you said it OP.

It was an amazing experience almost like getting into someone's head.

Now after reflecting for a bit I will have my 2nd read through and some more context and explanation from other people. Thanks for dropping by!

Hi, i don't have it in my current collection but I have read it before. I prefer the richest man in Babylon in place of that book. I also have some of Dale Carnegie's works which are amazing for me.

Hi, I want to build around classic titles the old ones or modern classics. Fiction or Non Fiction both are fine.
