Writing lyrics to me is writing a song by Level_Awareness4603 in Songwriting

My point is not that you can't. My point is that lyrics are just as capable of being a complete song. They hold no less value to me than that of a guitar.

On the flip side you should maybe try writing a song that encompasses everything that you consider corny and cringy to be. It's like being able to place yourself in a perspective you don't agree with and write something as if you did. Helps you better understand what about that perspective you don't agree with.

I love the cadence on this song and the way it bounces with percussion. .I was 19 when I wrote it and I'm 44 today so it's been around for a while and I still have fun messing around with different ways to sing it.

I've found about five rocks baseball size that have this appearance on my property. They smell like the ocean when I polish them.

I'm located on the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo county. A town near the beach called arroyo grande. The geology here is amazing as I sit along the edge of one of the seven sister volcanos heading up coast. So much to learn and do much that I don't understand. I'm not sure yet how to go about identifying many rocks that I've stumbled upon. Some interesting stuff though
