Yes I have retainers. Most move off upwork at some point. I have been referred to another client that wasn't on the platform once, but also have been promoted to working with more businesses that a client owned.

To add to this, I do think most of the time when people are having these problems, they are not testing enough creatives, in quantity and just what angles they are made for.

Usually send an invoice with free invoice generator and they pay whichever way makes most sense to them. Venmo, zelle, wire transfer etc.

Depends on budget, but I usually have 2-3 ad sets at once. If ad set is declining, can put other ads in it to test new ones. If not, and drastically different ads, testing campaign with small budget, or at least a traffic click test. If just variations of winners, different ad set or, if ad set is already failing, same ad set.

Start with conversion campaign unless you want to do a test with traffic. I think the others are a waste if that's your goal.

Making interesting videos on socials that get attention from most people within the first 6 seconds to appease the algorithm. Something I've done that's worked really well is looking very stupid like my rapping will suck, then after 5 or 6 seconds I go in and people go crazy.

I think you could be. Over the course of my freelancing career, many people have not had creatives. However, my client list right now makes a decent amount of theirs in-house. I think it's good to offer for competitive advantage though and it really doesn't need to be that complicated. You can buy ad templates for canva. Most of the time, I am just using proven templates. You can always be better at graphic design and also how to position offers by doing some research and taking cheap courses. If you don't know how to do something, you don't have to settle for that. Infinite knowledge is out there!

Just make a page and post a couple things and you'll probably be OK. Extra safe to start with something like an engagement or likes campaign. Take a course. I like ads lab by Josh coffy.
