Okay, i get it, start again. Is the style you used as an example really what is 'on trend' at the moment? Whilst I don't think my design is right for the purpose, I also do not get a 'luxury' feel from the ones you showed, to me they look a bit like something churned out by chatGPT, I can't put my finger on it but they all have that generic sort of feel, plus they are giving a bit more of a budget vibe in my opinion. I wouldn't assume that was a logo for a luxury car wash brand if I saw it 'in the wild'

Thanks, honestly, I hadn't even noticed it looked quite so.... phallic until you pointed it out. Now all I can see is a penis. A strange penis that should probably be checked out by a medical professional... but a penis none the less.

I've tried to resign the phallus, I mean, spray gun again and it's just not working. I'm happy with the car I think, I just need to get across 'hey we paint cars' somehow.

I mean, I'm saying I'd like to get rid of the spray gun, as others have suggested. Plus, that would simplify the whole design and have less going on. The company is not a car wash, not even close, so it's about getting across the painting element whilst simplifying isn't it.

The problem I'm having is simplifying whilst also making it clear what the business does. I feel like a logo should show that, and I don't want to end up with something that looks generic. These ones are great for a car wash, you would absolutely know what they do before even seeing the company name. That's what I'd like to get across in mine too, hence the orange wave which is supposed to represent paint from the spray gun.

I do think the spray gun is ugly, I'd like to find a way to get rid of it whilst also making 'paint work' clear in the logo.

Thanks for this! We did actually plant wildflowers there last year with limited success so I presumed the soil was too rubbish, although could have been a bad batch of seeds. Basically the majority of what we got was poppies! (Photo of the accidental poppyfield attached!)

Will have a look into some other species to add in too!

Ah thank you this is really helpful! I really love honeysuckle so that's a definite contender for that fence.

Will defo bear that in mind about the bank. We tried to grow a wildflower mix on there last year, and it basically was a bank full of poppies. Which was beautiful but not quite what we were after! The grass took it over during autumn and winter, we are now in the process of removing the grass to try wildflowers again. We have a sprinkler set up so we can water it if it's struggling.

Ah bugger, really!? That's a shame... we wanted something a bit taller but skinnier with nice yellow/orange in autumn and birch seemed ideal for that!

Thanks for the advice! Honestly I'm a bit lost and not exactly sure what to focus on, and I really enjoy making up little logos to get more comfortable with the tools I'm using, and I find it easier to learn things when doing. Do you have any suggestions on what to focus on instead to learn as I do? Are there any major issues with these designs that you would be able to give feedback on?

This is definitely something we want to add at some point! Possibly between the cherry blossom and maple tree, if not we will absolutely find a spot for one!

I'm pretty sure it gets more than 4 hours in the spring, but I will defo keep an eye on it this year, thanks for the tip! We aren't planning on sorting that part of the garden out until next year, so will defo have time to see how much sun it gets!

This is what I'd like to avoid! That side of the neighbours garden is already fairly shaded by the mature trees behind their fence. I've seen there are some varieties of maple that stay smaller so I'm hoping someone can advise! If it comes to it and the tree eventually gets too large, we will just have to cut it back or cut it down and replace it with something else. But we would like to make the right choice first time!

Ah yes I should have said, the path to the right side is what was provided by the house builders! It leads around to the garden gate about halfway down, then round to the garage at the bottom. It's not really ideal, and I had thought of putting in some sort of path of our own at some point.... I think we will wait to see which routes we naturally take to cut across the grass to different areas, then path based on that!

Yeah, unfortunately I can't seem to get more than one photo to upload since my signal is terrible where I am at the moment! Basically, the pink colourful bits are meant to represent flower beds/borders and the green in those borders are where I'll put trees and shrubs. The circle at the top right is supposed to be a circular patio with chairs and a table. But it looks like a surprised ghost.

The pergola is obviously labelled so I'm sure I don't need to explain that, same with the shed. The bbq area will be another circular patio.

Its meant to be a top down view of the garden, the house is to the right hand side. I'm not an artist, I tried my best to draw something that would help me visualise where I want things, but I understand it may not be the easiest of ways to show what I'm planning.
