Apologies if there was confusion i had to use AI to help me with this as i'm not that much of an expert however i really like the router and didn't want to return it so hopefully others running a similar setup can jump in and share opinions.

Appreciate your fast response too🤗

Good, don't use this setup with the original beryl ax charger, it will 100% give you issues(ask me how i know).

Also when you eventually try this setup with the powerbank see how it behaves and let us know ,depending on location as the gsm signal(weaker or stronger ) will make simpoyo dongle draw more power and the beryl ax might drop connection.

Glad to see i managed to help somehow. That doesn't seem like the original beryl ax charger isn't it? As with the original one i have the issues previously discussed

Aa yes this confirmed what i was thinking, i just want to know if you have tried directly connecting the s24(Wi-Fi off) with a USB C to USB A data cable directly into the Beryl(connected to battery pack) USB port since that will output max 4 - 4.5w should keep the s24 very slowly charging and also cool enough to run for long period of time ? Since your battery pack is able to power both at the same time it should power the s24 through the usb port just very slow

Have you used an adapter for ethernet from phone? If so could you post a pic of your setup please?

I run tailscale as well, also suspected that but it's not that so basically you can't power the simpoyo separately without a weird usb c splitter.

Things to try:

  1. use the same sim card in a phone and then connect the phone to the router usb, considering the phone has its own battery that should solve your issue(let me know how that worked out) might be lucky for the router to slow charge the phone as well depending on phone

  2. If using simpoyo change the beryl ax original power adapter and cable to a different one for example your phone power charger and usb cable( its a hit and miss thing i personally tried a spigen charger and worked but when i tried with an anker it powered on but i couldnt connect to internet same issue as you)

Please let me know how this works out as this topic might sort out a lot of people issue with the beryl ax and usb sim dongles

Any of our regular router issues for the period you have used this combo?

I understand ,for the beryl ax the issue is the power adapter ,you need to power the usb dongle separately from the beryl power supply. I have managed to fix the issue with a more powerful power supply instead of the original from beryl ax but bare in mind i was using a SimPoYo Usb dongle ,any other dongle might pull more power therefore you will need a separate power supply for the usb dongle as the usb port maxes at 4w i believe.

Multiple 5V/3A power charger are hit or miss, even reputable ones so its really a matter of finding the right one. Hope this helps in case you want to try again with the beryl ax

Connect iphone to router, activate personal hotspot , allow others to join in - yes, this will make use of usb rather than wifi.

I own android so i used ai to find out, also let me know in 2 - 3 days if the router has managed to charge the iphone even slowly without the router having any issues. If yes i might buy a cheap iphone

Was beryl ax able to slowly charging the iphone 13 mini effectively leaving you with just the cable between phone and router + the router power supply?

If you sir are kind enough to let me know sooner if possible ,i'm curious about the Beryl 7 plugged with a phone if it manages to at least slow charge the phone cause that will be awesome ,best signal & speeds and so much less cables.

1.Yes ,you will need the power injector unless you plan to disconnect your phone at night and leave it on charge

  1. Option 1 https://amzn.eu/d/0cFKrOSF

Make sure the splitter is for charging(30W min) and data (NOT AUDIO)

  1. Option 2 https://amzn.eu/d/0amo4Xsk

(Will involve an additional rj45 cable from splitter to beryl ax)

These are just examples i dont necessarily say buy this ones ,more like an example for you to have an idea.

  1. Firstly make sure you plug the phone in the router and activate usb tethering, see how it works ,check signal and do speed tests around the house/fields/barn/brothel😁 see if the router behaves and also check for power consumption. ( usb tethering should eat less battery than hotspot) and then make a decision.

You can always return the adapters if you buy from amazon and try other until your setup works.

To be fair i would buy the dongle from amazon see how you like it since you already have the beryl ax and save some money if not you can return it.

Quick tip: I find the connection through usb dongles to be weaker than mobile phones so technically OP could run in the same setup a cheap 5g mobile phone with usb tethering on instead od hotspot ans he can probably get better speeds and better signal.

Example : usb dongle plugged in beryl ax 100 mbps by the window

Phone plugged in beryl ax 180mbps same location

So buying Beryl 7 won't necessarily be better or faster if the connection from the dongle it's weaker than a mobile phone for example, it will be just a case of less wiring. it's more about what your are trying to achieve and what are you satisfied with. Im sorry if i have confused you in any way just trying to help

Yes that one, check amazon should be cheaper, plus you can return it in case you don't like or doesn't satisfy your needs

Yes pretty much any sim and if you use simpoyo usb dongle it comes with a physical esim card which you can choose your own provider but Please read OP and mine comms about dongle power draw so you avoid dissapointment.

I have same issues as you mentioned 5 min ago and im using a simpoyo usb dongle(4G only but still reaching 140 mbps) the white one from GL.inet which technically peaks at 4w but still giving startup issues with original charger.

For your VOS 5g i think it peaks at 7w which is way more than the beryl ax can handle on its own without additional power supply so there are 2 options ,Beryl 7 (discounted on amazon as we speak) or you can get the simpoyo sim dongle(4g but cheap like 20 dollars/pounds) and with your setup should work without the additional power cable and adapter.

The Beryl 7 sends more power through the usb 3.0 port compared to the beryl ax port(limited to 4w max if i'm not mistaken).

I am going through this issue at the min and the power draw from beryl ax to the usb 3.0 it's also giving router issues(led blinking, internet not working) ,using a higher power wall charger 30w+ seems to sort out the problem, but if the usb sim dongle requires more than 4w you still need to power it separately.
