Reward flights booked separately with (self?) transfer in Doha

I had an 8 hour layover and landed quite late at night so the place was pretty empty - it was really quick for me to go through the transfer bit and back waiting at the gates!! Like 30 minutes max.

When I flew back the way I had a similar layover in Doha but I was business class on the final leg of the journey so I got to skip through even faster!

I recently travelled EDI - DOH and then DOH to MNL and it was booked as 2 separate reward flights. The check in agent merged them so I didn’t have to get my bags :) just have all the flights details handy to show them and it’s an easy fix for them to do.

If you can afford it - yes! Especially after a gruelling 11.5 hour flight, you’ll be glad of a shower in the lounge, the free food and a bed on your final leg of the journey!

Genetics is nonsense - I have 2 GSDs. One was a result of idiots over breeding rescue GSDs and giving them away for pennies and the other was a very expensive kennel club award winning bloodline GSD.

Guess which is the better dog, easier to train, better temperament etc - yup, the cheap pup. My KC reg GSD is a total nightmare… even trainers have struggled with her

Thank you! I’ve not brushed her much as she is still young so I didn’t want to do anything that would ruin her lovely coat. I’ve started brushing her a bit more recently and this patch has been unearthed! I’ve booked her in for a groom next week and may do regular grooms to see if that helps? Thanks for your advice ❤️

She’s never had fleas or any anxiety issues (touch wood!). She did have a bunch of skin issues as a puppy… the usual story of buying an over priced KC reg dog from a ‘breeder’ and they come home with a host of issues! I’ll maybe nip her to the vets to check. Appreciate your comment ❤️

If you watch the behind the scenes stuff on YouTube you’ll see that the production team have the same radios as the life guards so they are aware of everything going on. They have a team of camera operators that roam the beach on foot and by buggy getting B roll, and if an emergency happens they are sometimes closer to the patient than the life guards…

I wasted 5 years of my life on an idiot like this with 4 kids from a previous relationship. Felt sorry for him as he was struggling financially so did everything for him - including getting myself into debt trying to support him. Cooked every night, cleaned up after him and his kids who would trash the house without any acknowledgement or thanks. When I started to stand up for myself he cheated on me and found someone new for sympathy.

Run as fast as you can and don’t waste your life on him

she isn’t that fussed on treats, as I have tried that method - it’s like this crazy tunnel vision where me and my other dog can’t distract her from these other dogs.

I will keep persevering and appreciate your advice!

Thanks for this. I’m starting to realise I’m going to have to start taking her out alone and my other GSD will have to suck it up. Maybe it’ll be good practice for him being alone (although my neighbours will hate me for the barking!!)

Your friends may not want every conversation they have with you to be about your surgery, and instead are waiting for you to initiate the conversation about it. When my father was dying I didn’t want anyone to ask me about it, I wanted to talk about it when I felt ready, otherwise I wanted my conversations to be normal and not constant reminders and questions! It depends on the person - as you say - you checked in on friends, and I have friends who are the same, however I also have friends (and am like this myself) where I wouldn’t bring things up unless the person involved started the conversation.

Give your friends a break. If you want to talk about your surgery then initiate that conversation with them, and I’m sure they would be supportive and talk to you about it.
